Well, it is said the hi-amp versions have a lower resistance. So what is the advantage of the non hi-amp version??

Serum 10.04.2005 01:21 AM

you can use it in star configuration, and they are not as hot in the KV range..

Dafni 10.04.2005 01:24 AM

Okay, thanks.

aqwut 10.04.2005 08:45 PM

I'm still counting the days when the 2280 and I will meet...

I probably should've got one that has 800 kv rating... but I'm pretty sure I can do some damage with the 1480 kv rating 2280-5 hiAmp....

i guess when I get too excited, I don't think...

You know your self or low self esteem..?

;)

On 40 cells (20S/2P) this thing hauls..

You got the 36150 don't you?

I just wanted to point to this little beauty; the eagletree car data system, so you're able to see if your setup had a good reason to burn..

aqwut 10.05.2005 03:44 PM

40.160wk, exchange for 18.129....schulze's gonna tell me how much credit they'll give for that esc.. that's the second time it fried... for no reason.

Serum 10.05.2005 04:52 PM

probably a loose contact aqwut!

A good quality controller like that doesn't burn up, just like that..

DO they?

RC-Monster Mike 10.05.2005 10:21 PM

Notorious Schulze issues, if you ask me. I had a few burn for no reason(well loose contacts, even though they were the new plugs schulze sent!).

aqwut 10.05.2005 10:33 PM

I checked everything before .... plugged the battery and it smoked... I thought I may have soldered the wire wrong.. but nope... the motor contacts were perfect.. I checked everything.. this is the second time it's done this... the first time schulze repaired it.. they sent a fried 18.149(wasn't even mine) and charged me $180 for repair.. what the h*ll is their warranty for?...

Now a little while after.. this happens... the only schulze that I haven't had problems with were the 40.160WKs... those worked well for me.. big ass an esc can be.. but its was working well.. I spend more money on repair than the esc itself.... especially the 18.61K's those are Cr*ppy.... I just sold mine for $200 cdn... lucky me :)

I will start buying BK controllers from now on.. right after the 40.160WK... You guys like the BKs better than the schulze....?

squeeforever 10.05.2005 10:48 PM

the problems you have are the reason we like the bks

RC-Monster Mike 10.05.2005 11:25 PM

I'd take a BK over a schulze any day for the high voltage stuff. The 40160 is HUGE. I would never run that controller simply due to its size and cost.
Bottom line-every controller brand will have a few controllers that malfunction or have something go wrong, but BK stands behind their stuff and honors the warranty if the user is not at fault.

Serum 10.06.2005 01:43 AM

Got pics of your burned schulzes Aqwut?

Dafni 10.06.2005 02:13 AM

Haha, Serum, the trophy collector ;)

This "loose contact" excuse is getting old! I imagine the guy in the Schulze office has a pre-written e-mail for 18.61 users.
A weak excuse, IMO, to always blame the customer.

Serum 10.06.2005 04:28 AM

Yeah, i'd like to get a 10000 dollar damage list..

I'm allready on the right track if you ask me!

nbcaznmaster 10.06.2005 06:24 AM

aqwut, u got any schulze 18.97kfw for sale? lol
