I think that this controller is rated for 6s, but not able to take it. I've sell my Neu 1515 2.5d to e-mike, and i'll try my MMM in my Slash on 3s only. When CC will be able to make a solid and true 6s controller, i'll put bake my e-veo on the track. But for now, my e-revo is sit on the shelf and stay it as long as i'll find a good controller for 6s. |
Yea I agree it sucks that you have to be hesitant to run the MMM v2 on 6s or even 5s.I was afraid that it would poof on 4s with a 1512/1.5d.But Iam not going to baby a controler that they say can handle more than I can throw at it.If this one fries its back to CC then when a replacement arives it goes on ebay

yes try it on 6 cell:yes:

Anyone know if castle will do a recall? I sent mine back last week. After 5 minutes, stopped dead.
Max amps 3000mah 6S, Lehner Basic XXL 1800 (87 amp, max) Traxxas slash. No fire, no smoke, no smell. Just dead. Could link it still, I tried flashing the firmware but that didn't revive it. This was all before I knew of the BEC problems. Hope the new batch is solid. I'm not demanding much from it, but it sounds like the BEC is having trouble switching down from ~25volts to ~5volts. |
just like you coreyfro we waiting for some answer....and updates:yes:

Early days and tempting fait for sure but over this weekend I finally had chance to run 3MMM’s v2:
- I ran a full pack of hard bashing (lots of crashes) though my G-Revo setup MMM 6s2p A123 1515 2.5D 5955TG with no issues - Two packs of track, bashing and torture test (full throttle, full break repeat x 20 on tarmac) X1CR setup MMM 4s 1512 1Y 5955TG with no issues - Two packs of track and bashing Hyper ST Pro setup MMM 4s 1515 1Y 7955TG with no issues All of the got up to temp enough for the internal fan to run. I would add that all are running an UBEC, switches have been removed, telfon washer and heat shrink added to fan. If you check the CC threads CC have repeatedly said they think this still might be setup related in some manner and are in the process of collating and testing machines that have repeated failures. At this point I'm not sure what more they can say until they have actually concluded the testing. |
My pre-replacement MMM failed yesterday, broken fan & dead BEC. About 2 hours of run time on it.
My Total dead MMM reveiw: MMMv1, Dead BEC, broken fan. MMMv1 (repaired from above), Dead BEC, broken fan & fan connector MMMv2, dead Fan controller & BEC & broke connector MMMv2 (pre replacement for the one above), broken fan & dead BEC I have one that has been run for about 30 minutes, still working. I have another that has been working for 2 to 3 hours of run time but the fan died & the fan connector is broken off the bottom of the board. (I have installed a Novak fan that is pluged into the RX and have cut the grill out of the top of the case. So 4 out of 5 have broken fans or connectors or both & the one that has not broken the fan has only 30 minutes on it. |
