Be wary, his motor/esc combos are most likely just rebranded Chinese stuff that you can get for 1/2 the price elsewhere.

Also, I've learned to never trust release dates, they are almost always delayed. I'd rather have a good product off the bat and have to wait than a defective or sub par product right now.

Btw.. where did you get the information about mid January?

I agree with Cody.
I would rather wait and get a good product then have it released and have allot of issues.
I am sure it will be worth it in the end :D

I'm not really concerned about having any issues with the XL. Reason being is that it seems much of the hardware is based on the ICE line, and the software can be updated at will.

I think that Castle has done a great job learning from the growing pains of the MMM and their customer service is beyond question the absolute best. No reason for me to wait for a V2 to be confident in the outcome.

They are available for ordering right now. The website just hasn't been updated yet.

I want to know where you heard that the distributors won't get anything until January. That's completely false.

Does that include the motor, conversion kit? I'm still crossing my fingers I can do something before Christmas.

Great news... Does that include the motor, conversion kit? I'm still crossing my fingers I can do something before Christmas...

I'm pretty sure it's just the ESC? Since there's no mention of the motor on the checkout page at all. $350 would be much to cheap for the combo anyhows.

Well, mines ordered! :D Going to order another when the motor comes out, I can't really drop the cash on two 2230s right now, haha.

Finnster 12.18.2010 05:30 PM

I saw somewhere the combo was priced around 650 or so. The motor is massive and the magnets are quite heavy. Should be a hell of a combo when its all done.

Congrats on another ground breaking product patrick!

ESC and motor are available now. Motor isn't on the website yet. Conversion kits available in the first week of Jan.

Excellent.. Should I just pickup ESC/motor now or do you suggest I wait for full package or buy conversation kit separately when it hits or use the RCM kit to get the ball rolling now? I assume a phone order is required until it hits the web site?
