Thanks Bdebde...chassis brace that what I meant:oops:
Will having a 20t pinion overheat the motor? you think I should have got the 1520 instead? |
Can the 1717 be made to work in a E Revo?
If the Medusa 80mm will work in one, then the 1717 is 5mm longer than that. |

Ya the RCM motor mount...it is less than 28mm I'm sure. :whip: shux!
|
Go with the 1520 for the muggy. The 1521 1y that I run on 6s in the muggy does very well.
|
OK I just contacted Castle and told them that I would rather have the 1520. Problem is I ordered the 1717 last Wednesday, so it's def in the mail on its way here...
Linc werent u saying that you were gonna get a 1717 for your muggy? were you gonna make a custom mount or what? |

I do have a stretched chassis lst based buggy (using a 1/7th scale buggy body) in the works, that might need the 1717! |
wow...sound like ur hands are TIED lol...
Anyway, if (and I mean IF) I decide to go with the 1717, I'll probably need to make a new mount. |

The large diameter of the 1717 will most likely require a custom mount in most applications. Fine with me! |

Patric, looks like you put 2025 diameter as the 1717. Is that a pre-introduction? :mdr:

so thats not the correct diameter of the 1717?
|
I think Himalaya is right. In post #11 Patrick show a caliper measurement for the 2025 to be 53.67mm. I did a rough comparison measurement from the photo on page one and it seems like the diameter for the 1717 is around 45mm (+/- 1 maybe?).

I'm sticking to the 1717 for my Muggy, will get plenty of pics when it arrives and let you guys know what is needed to make it work.
