What turn buckle/tie rod is that? Looks really tough.

The rod is from the FLM kit, but the plastic parts I am not sure anymore, perhaps it is the original from the SavageX SS kit?

Last week I ordered a new motor with air cooling that should run a little cooler. I was considering to use a larger diameter motor and reviewed the measurements again, but 44-46mm is the maximum, so it had to be a new Lehner, this time with air cooling and slightly less kV of 822 compared to the previous 925. This is how it will look:

I am negotiating the terms for a Schulze 40.160wk ESC as well, but those Germans really want to be payed by bank transfer..

I also mounted the Swaybars this weekend, it only required minimal modifications.

I love those Lenhers with the built in fan, such a cool design ( pun not intended ).

Yeah, I like the design too.

For the motor I also ordered the water jacket. I just ordered the Schulze 40.160, also with channels for water cooling.... so what is missing?

Hence I ordered some micro pumps and micro radiators to experiment with:

These pumps weight 12 grams only! I ordered two versions with different flow and pressure capability. (1.6W)

I also ordered two sizes of radiators, Large = 75x50x9mm.

Small = 45x25x9mm

Should be fun:lol::lol:

:surprised:.... wow... I can't wait to see this assembled.

Where did u get those pumps and radiators?

I've always wondered how well those water cooling sytems would actually work, but the cost & lack of space on my trucks put me off; this should be very interesting to watch.

I can't wait to see this installed!

mckrill 05.21.2010 03:45 AM

The same here - really looking forward to this little experiment. I communicated with a guy named Scott Smart and he has been very helpful with replies to my questions.

Right now I am waiting for hoses for the shocks, the kit for the cooling, the new motor and ESC - almost like christmas:party:

Awesome idea. Curious to see how that works out.

Hi Again,Hi Again,

Been waiting for parts the last few weeks, but has also been in the final stages of finalizing a E-bike for competition, here's a few clips (in the last one you can see more of the external design, the others are drive-by clips)

The motor came this friday, the day after the bike was shipped - about to start buildning again:lol: Waiting for the ESC now..
