ok cool but i think i am going to get the tekno kit it comes with a 4 cell lipo and a mamba max esc and a motor and a fan and a bce for 630

i have another thread going, but might aswell ask here.. would the 8XL be my best bet with the MMM when trying to keep my cost down?

i do am not know but you should call tekno i did that to day and they know what they are talking about so call them they have really support and the guy i talked to runs the brushless set ups and just really good people

hey paralyzed, how fast is your 6.5 novak emaxx?? you happy with it? whats the setup? i am almost done with waiting for this MMM to come out and i blew my titans lastnight.

8XL ok but you may wish to consider an align 600xl which is a bit more but I believe better quality and would take more V's to match the MMM.

PS and as this is the RCM site try mike at RCM however there are lots of people here with experience to guide you.

I'm not sure what vehicle you're running but I have tried the 8XL using a 12020, 5S lipo on 13/46 gearing for my buggy. Wickedly fast. Dare I say faster than most nitro buggies in a track situation.

Anyway, the esc held up but the battery gets too warm. So u have to make sure the batteries are up to it. By all indication, the MMM should be the same or better in terms of performance so it should work happily. I have moved to a 9XL to keep battery temps down.

In addition, I'm in the tropics where ambient temperature & humidity are all off the scale. So, if you're running in cooler climate, that's even better.
