believe it or not... but today, I got, in the mail.....:gasp: a working Xcelorin system for the speed-t!!!!!:surprised::surprised::surprised:

i got to show the italian bikers staying at our house for the race tommorow how fast it is!

i had some problems with it that were my fault, first i noticed that the ESC's lights weren't on, it was because i hadn't turned it off and on again after i calibrated it to the transmitters, and then it kept turning off and on randomly and i found out that that was because i had plugged the connectors together just a tiny bit for the initial test run from my bedroom to my parents bedroom, and forgot to plug them in all the way, then later the connectors got stuck together and i still can't get them apart, but now I have deans on it. It's all good now:yes: I kind of couldn't believe it when it worked, this is the 5th xcelorin system that i have owned and the 4th that was replaced for free.

so, what you should do if you want an xcelorin system (they've got high quality features and the ones that work run great) is buy 5 and find the one that works and return the other 4, because as far as i know, out of every 5, 1 will work.

1 in 5 sucess rate, almost as good as the MMM

By pot I mean potentiometer = variable resistor. Its a little dial like a volume knob that lets you adjust the speed from 0 to full. They tend to have 3 legs, but you only use two in this application (same thing as a slide switch really that does the same job).

The MMM has a bad success rate too? has it improved since they first came out?

Where have been for the last 6 months man?

The 1st run of 1000 MMMs resulted in about 80 or so dead units after a short period of time (that numbers only go to increase as time goes on, but its not so bad really).

The 2nd run which is at 3000+ units has resulted in a few dozen dead units- not so bad, but it seems that a few users are ending up with escs which die, and so do the replacements; several times over.

given castles good customer service, its nothing to worry about- have a read of the castle sub-forum for more info.

I went to the creek near my house, it has alot of trails next to it, it's pretty cool and i took my speed-t with me, it was a beast there, it flew off all of the bike jumps i've made down there. have any of you ever driven a 2wd truck on a gravel road? man it is fun!

I also saw a lady with at least 8 dogs, and none of them had leashes, and the leader i guess was a pit bull, and it ran over to me, tilted it's head sideways, and bit my thy :rofl: it didn't hurt very much, the owner said that he was telling me that he was the other dogs leader.

Castle finally released their Mamba Monster combos on their website!

Check it out: http://www.castlecreations.com/produ...a_monster.html Castle Creations finally released their Mamba Monster Combos on their website, that's good news, but, they also said that they would be available between October and November. This sucks, at least my Speed-T works, and now I guess I'll just get $300 and stow it away for the battery, then get new wheels and tires and paint a body and stuff.
