loc tite does not work with plastic diff cups.. if you can and its available, you should try and run the alloy diff cup! will allow no flex within the cup, and loctite will actually work
That's what I was thinking, thanks Jahay.
Will the 1520 fit in a Revo 3,3 with Mikes motormount?
I dont think so, When I had mine the 1515 was close to the arms and the 1520 is a mile longer.
Ok
I will throw it in the Gorilla then.
Will it be ok to run with a Tekin RX8 or Novak HV esc? I now it is not sensored, but without the sensorcabel? Or do I need a MMM esc. |
Go for the RX8 rather than the HV... No need to get a MMM if you hve have an RX8 handy
Perfect thanks.

Is there a possible mistake with the KV written ON the motor?
My order came in today and I notice that the 1520 is quoted 1600 kv on the box and 1520 1y 1500kv ON the motor I am alone with this situation? Fred |
No you are not, a friend of mine had the case, but castle glue a sticker on the box saying it's an mistake, the motor is a 1600Kv, so don't worry ;)
yep I got one also, I call it my custom wound 1520.
Nice then.
Thganks a lot Fred |
I finally used the 1520. Stuck it in the TM buggy on 4s and Qaurk esc. Works pretty good.

:surprised:... wow... do you think you have enough power for your buggy now?
I use a 1520/1Y on 4S in my buggy since a while now. I have better runtimes than my previous 1515/1Y, but it add 59 gramms:oops:
I agree that it runs cooler then with the Pletty. It accelerates harder then the 1512 1400kv motor that I have. The weight is killer though, but I figured I stuck a V8 in Civic and have to drive different. Gearing is 46/23 and I'm waiting for Mike to get his 26T back in stock.
