If the Mini MGT's chassis is anything like the standard Monster GT chassis, then it should work with little modding. I converted my Monster GT with my own center diff setup which is similar to RCM's. http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25581

I have a feeling that this unit will end up in allot of vehicles in order to simplify the setups, reduce weight, and elliminate the need for a transmission that can be somewhat of a problem. We all know that with BL there is really no need for more than one motor or more than one gear, and this makes things much easier to maintain. Like I have been saying MonsterMike I think this unit will sell just as well or even better than the Slipperential. In fact I believe it will help you sell even more slipperentials because of the match up between the two. There are probably more Maxx trucks out here than any other vehicle just because of how long it has been around, and the many versions there are of it. T-Maxx 2.5, 3.3, EMaxx 3906, 3905, and GorillaMaxx, RCM/FastLane Maxx, UE SuperMaxx, HardcoreMaxx.

I agree with Jerry. This discussion has been beat, but despite the maxx being an outdated platform the maxx line of trucks is still very popular.

Search "maxx" on e-bay and you will get more than 5000 matches. Way more than any other make or model.

As brushless popularity grows, there are many that want the power, but don't want to part with their beloved t-maxx. Mike's cd/motor mount is the perfect solution.

The bottom plate of Mike's cd/motor mount (skid plate) will fit any 3906 based e-maxx and any 4910 based t-maxx. By making a bottom plate that will fit the 3905 e-maxx (which also fits the 4907 and 4908 t-maxx) all of the maxx models could use this mount.

A choice of bottom plates would also then allow the mount to fit with both the 3905 and 3906 FLM e-maxx chassis', which we all know rock!

Furthermore, a package deal with this mount and a slipperential?? Priceless!!!

Very cool

That would be very cool Harold. I combo kit that includes both the new Maxx center diff/motor mount and also the slipperential would be the perfect gift to any R/C guy who has a Maxx of one type or another. Great suggestion Harold. I want two of them.

JoFreak 02.07.2010 08:18 PM

Looks basicly like the one I have, apart from that the one side is only held in place by one screw. And no baseplate is included. But that's a good price for sure!

I dont think the gears availiable for the slipperential will fit in between the braces on a maxx type truck. Not sure if thats what you are planning. BTW I just ordered one also. Jerry just in time for your b-day aye?

Hmmm... I really liked the older design.... I guess the newer layout is a lot more cost effective for mass production... If I didn't start construction on mine, I would have taken one of these.

Is that it? I have cash in hand and want two, but where is the bottom plate?

What do I do here? Order two and figure out the rest later or wait till I know what I'm getting and maybe be too late to order. FRICK FRICK FRICK

Mikak 02.07.2010 08:46 PM

it does not come with a bottom plate you make your own for the car or truck you have..

I get that, and that's the problem. We wanted a carbon copy of the unit I sold you (4 peices) and this isn't that. FRICK.

I'm with you Haorld. Just when we have something good that works someone has to change it up and make it more complicated. I will work with whatever he gives us, but there was nothing wrong with the one he had already designed. The original design would have fit on just about every Maxx truck with just a little bit of finagaling. Now everyone has to come up with extra plates, drilling, and cutting to make it fit and do what it was intended for. I am sure that this design will fit into a whole line of vehicles, but all that we wanted was a simple center diff/motor mount to go into the Maxx truck, and nothing more. Why does everything have to end up getting so complex. RCM already has a ton of center diff mounts for many of the various vehicles that work great for those trucks/cars. Everyone was requesting the same thing for the Maxx. That was it. Equal billing.
