For those that have firmware 3.20> you will need to download 2 small programs from the MGM website CLICK HERE. You will also need a CC_03 cable and a USB_COM ver. 3.__> .For some reason I couldn't download the english version of the flashing instructions. If you can read Czech you can download THIS one. I managed to work it out any way and have upgraded my speed control from ver. 3.21 - 3.22 . I am still yet to try it out but will post back when I get a chance. Cheers Andrew |
Hi Andrew, I managed to download the programs from that website and I went thru the software update process.. Software says that Update successful but when i restart the controller it still shows up as 3.21. Any tricks I need to do after the 'Update successful' message to get the new firmware active? Thanks

Checking with the Controller software and CC-02 cable and the version is still 3.21! After the 'update successful' message, I just shut-down the software and restarted the controller. hmmmm..

I just ran through the whole process again and mine still says ver. 3.22 . It may just be me but I think every time you swap from the flasher program to the controller program I had to remove the USB cable from my computer and then reinsert it, otherwise the controller wouldn't show up?????
A couple of things to check 1. What ver. is your USB_COM? 2. In the flasher program make sure the drop down box is says "Update device through USBCom" . What ver. of windows are you using? I'm still running XP. (don't know if it's a problem but thought we might be able to eliminate a few possibility's) |

Not saying doing the "AUTOTUNE" will fix everyones problems but it maybe something for people to try before they send off their controls. Cheers Andrew |

My issue was a deffective processor, not the firmware, I suppose they upgraded my esc to have the latest software, but tue "accelerate while braking" seems to be a hardware problem. All people that has this problems contact with mgm, and do all the tests that they tell you, they finally find a solution, (with me was about 3 escs and 3 months off nightmares) BUT FINALLY... all the tests I have done with 2, 4, 6 and also 12 pole motors are OK, the accelerating while braking issue has dessapeared. the esc arm ok all the times (before I had to power on, off, and on to make it work :( ) and.... Countryhick... don't send the esc to mgm if you can do some tests, it's fustrating to not have the esc at home and don't know when will be at home and if it will work ok or not. Today I'll test my mgm 9032 in my crt with 10s a123 :) I'll let you know. and.. sorry about my bad english  |
I didnīt manage to update my ESC with the MGM Flasher 1.0. What did you do after the update successfull window ?

No issue with updating to 3.22. on my 4412-3, now 16018-3 to go
Did the update, unplugged USBcom pro PC! as mentioned in the manual, changed CC03 for CC02, replugged USBcom, launched controller and 3.22 was there |
