it's 15V and 52 Amps... I only paid $125 for it, it's one of those cheap pyramid amps. I would buy the 24V version next time....

Nice neat drawer! Looks a lot like my drawer in my welding bay at work.

I wish I had a Garage like most of you lucky guys :-(
I was renting a nice house and had all the room I could ever ask for. Earlier this year my fathers Alzheimers and has gotten to a point where he can no longer take care of himself and I moved in and take care of him.
His house is paid for, but small. So I have to cram all my RC stuff into my bedroom. My compressor,drill press ETC are out in the shed, I have to go outside to do any dremeling so I don't make a mess inside. Bummer.

I decided to upgrade my workspace. I had turned half my closet into a workspace but that was really small and didn't work well. I still wound up using my kitchen table or setting up my pit table in the living room of my tiny apt. I decided I didn't need a kitchen table anymore, I haven't sat at it to eat in at least two years. A couple weeks ago I drew up an isometric plan so I would have something to go off and could figure out how much would I needed. Currently I'm laid off so I had some extra time and I woke up early friday to go get some lumber. 9 - 2x4s and one sheet of plywood. I slurged on the plywood and got 5/8" with one side sanded, I had them cut it at the store since all I have is a cordless circular saw. Total investment was about $75 and 3 hours.

Ben remodeling the house and finish my bedroom/hobbyroom last week. I was able to gain a lot more work space by stashing all my parts in the new TV stand/tool box I modded. Anyway here;

I forgot about this thread! Here are a few pics of what my better half calls my "man-cave":

My workbench. I reorganize it at least once a week, but it always seems to get like this within minutes... Currently on the experimentor's board is a NiMH battery charger I'm prototyping.

Parts and materials area. Resistors, hardware, wire, metals, wood, etc.

Some tools, electronic components, and unfinished projects.

My R/C rack. Missing is the XT8, which was on my bench stool (which was an abrupt reminder when I blindly tried to sit down).

Made myself a new workbench today.

Remodeled the kitchen at the new house and ended up with 13ft of blue laminate countertop. Ugly in the kitchen , but it looks good as a workbench.

I plan to put a shelf on the wall above the bench and put 2 4ft twin tube lights under that shelf. I will take a few more pics of the rest of the hobby room as soon as I get the 2 other benches out of the way.

And in my quest to be more "green*" everything down to the screws for this project was previously used. This is recycling done right.

* green equals cheap.

That's the way to go! Never toss an old countertop.
