Aghh!!! No CVDs. I bought a full RacerX suspension and it was shipped all nice in little packages. :intello: So I get alittle free time this morning and I break down my truck. I put the Racerx rear setback arms and knuckle together and then the front arms on their knuckles and NO shafts....what a NOOB!!:grrrrrr: These UE pieces are all 2.5 and will not fit anything I have!! So back on with the RPM stuff so I can play this weekend.:whip:

suicideneil 05.26.2009 10:17 AM

Bummer.

mkrusedc 05.26.2009 11:01 AM

I did learn this the UE shock tower body posts sit wider then the FLM. My body stayed on for alot longer.

...or I drove alot better

I feel for you Mark. Looks like you're getting some good advice on the UE forum however.

A short vid of only 3 jumps from last weekend.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IwQn6uXTjo

There was a lot more. Great day until the last one (sorry no vid). My brother-in-law wanted to know, "Whats that big red thing, the battery?" I guess I will be charging in a lipo sack outside from now on. Does anybody have a link for a good sack?

BL_RV0 06.11.2009 09:41 AM

Nice landing on the first one!
Any liposack will do fine, but check out the genuine ones. I'm not sure if Mike sells them, but I know impaktRC does.

nitrostarter 06.11.2009 09:53 AM

I guess I'll have to charge my stuff up and take the 8T out there and jumps those levees properly for ya... LOL

My levee's are steeper but they don't keep the grass cut short so its hard to get speed through 1-2 ft tall grass.

That's what the LST is for.

That was the first jump of the day. The last was the worst. The truck went one way and the battery went the other...:gasp:

Those are in north Metairie. They keep the grass cut but the base is very wide. When I put a ramp on the top I can clear down past the base. The landing can be as high as 36 feet. :intello:

nitrostarter 06.11.2009 11:37 AM

Yep. I've seen those. My levees are in St. James Parish. I must say, they are fun to jump tho. Every Bonfire season, we cut the grass ourselves to make it look good. I do get to jump it then, but the terrain isn't really flat and its sometimes hard to get a good go at it.

Good news. No lipo explosion! The 5s Neu energy took a 56 minute charge without any warmth, puffing or fire!

More good news. A set of UE cvds were shipped Friday. It looks like I will finally get my RacerX arms on!

Good! I know it flew out of the truck but what happened to it? Did it get bent, or something?

Sweet I can't wait to see it RTR!

Did you hear Emaxxter from "that other" forum shattered a Lightning diff in Hybrid bulks? :gasp::oh:

Gee 06.15.2009 02:24 AM

Here's to you not finishing the Neu Maxx anytime soon.

Mark are you ever going to finish your Neu Maxx? It been amost done for a year and a half now.

I just noticed how many views this thread has and the number of pages. It's great to see this thread is still going. I hope you don't finish it anytime soon. It does have me wondering what else you might use over and over, instead of opening a new one. At work and at home....Hmmm Nice Neu Maxx and there still some envy flowing here.

Thanks for the compliment. I have a brand new BL Revo that I drove, I think, twice just sitting there waiting will I play with the Maxx.

I am off this morning so I thought I have a fully charged battery I will go for one last bash before I put my new UE arms on...two wheel drive... :surprised:

More damage from that brutal landing. I broke the out put shaft on my rear diff. The Traxxas 3.3 plastic slider held but the metal 1/8 diff out out shaft snapped!! :gasp:
