Got my package from James today, awesome job and quick turnaround. If he started printing oem type labels you'd never know the difference. Build quality actually seems better than original on the Neu packs.

Here they are, I made a label for my RC-Monster Lipo and put it on MA style (packing tape). Since the pic I pulled the labels off my Neu packs and taped them on too.

Thanks LincPimp!

Thanks for the kind words... I try to make the packs as solid as possible before I shrink them. And I generally add some add protection to the ends, as they seem to take the most abuse...

James most likely will send you those MA 4200's to reconfigure - Just need to see if/how well they mount on the berg once the chassis is complete... cheers

Question for Linc and all the other Lipo gurus out there. What would be the effects of charging a Lipo at slightly above 1C? I'm not talking 1.5-2C I mean something like charging a 4500mah or 4900mah at 5Amps or so. Not on a regular basis but when racing it would be nice to make sure I wasn't scramblng to get packs charged in time. Basically charging at .1-.5A over 1C. Do I risk puffing at that rate, shorter life cycle?

Depends on the Lipo - The new Hyperion I just ordered and the new Neu's are rated to 5c...

I'd watch temps and the balancer to ensure that is doesn't over volt any cell...

At the barn it was never an issue to the the long intervals and short races

Lipos in question are Neu XP and RC-Monster packs both rated at 1C charge. I'll have 2 packs by the time I'm racing but if it comes down to a main any longer than 10 minutes I'll have to do a swap and having both packs charged up for the main might be an issue. I'm not sure how long the rounds will take at CRC either and after practicing I may need a slightly quicker charge.

Need more money for more Lipos!!!

I am sure that charging a 4500 pack at 5amps will be fine. Hyperion actually rated all of their packs for 2c charge for the last year or so, and those are the same enerland cells in the the other high end brand packs. You may diminish the life a bit, but I doubt it will do much. As long as you are using a decent charger you should be fine.

Yep, they are in the box next to the workbench. I will try to get to them before the weekend, but work is killing me with long hours this week. Looks like you have at last 1 bad cell in the damaged pack. I will pm you with more info when I get them checked out.

I know this is "li-po repair" but could you fix my Pro Match 6 cell?

What does it need? Have not done nimhs in a while, but I can make side by side packs with battery bars and put decent wire on it and clear shrink it. No need for a balance tap on these! Unless you really want one...

Was in a full speed crash. and stupid me didn't put the batter bar in. Pack went flying, and a few of the bars came un done. I don't have a hot enough iron to do it.

I can fix that, but do you know anyone in town that could solder them back on? Might be cheaper and quicker than sending it to me.

My friend nate was gonna, but he never came down and got em :D. Hmm. let me ask him again. If not, it might be faster to send em to you. lol
