Whats the fully loaded race weight? Do you like those extra wide offset wheels like that? I had trouble finding my line out of the corners when I tried wheels that far offset on my Revo. Of course comparing my Revo to that work of art is like comparing stick drawings to a Picasso.

This was one of the first two prototypes. No champhers no nothing, I did the champhers later on myself. You can definitely expect the production series to look better. We weren't fumbling around with the details, as my time in the states was limited, but it worked for testing.

Wasn't cheap, true. Almost every dollar I put in it was earned by RC work, though. Sold stuff, did parts for other people or fixed their trucks.

Thank you! Even parts of the G2R chassis changed: obviously the extended plates, and as I said, I bent two front skids.

Haven't weighted it yet, but it definitely feels just right, not too light and not too heavy. As for the offset wheels, I felt I needed them with a wheelbase like this. To be honest, I never tried non-offset wheels on it. Maybe I should.

Nothing wrong with the direct drive, jhautz. Actually I'd wish we could put the motor back in the center on the slipperential too, but this would not work for long motors on non-extended gorilla chassis'.

LOL, funny thing about showing up at tracks and bashing spots here, either with the G2R or my other BL Revo (stock chassis), the people hardly seem to understand what's so special about them. It's a revo, so what? Ah, a converted one.. why'd you do that? :005: But it's coming, people begin to realize the potential of BL. Those who are into it, know their way around it, but this is still a minority here. Most racers here are into on-road, or 1/10 offroad. Some 1/8 buggy guys too, but not in my part of the country.

Well I hope I get a lot of chances to actually race next season, even if this means I'll have to travel around much. I'll definitely report back.
Racing is 80% driver, 20% car, and a nice ride does not win you any races.
However, I kept my RC18 track routine up over the winter, and I'm confident I can tune a revo suspension by now. Let's see what the season brings!

What does that clear shield you have mounted between the x-braces under the motor do? Stone guard for the slipperential gears or something?

Oh, this is the ESC mount. For the MM.

Since those pics I made a stone guard indeed. All the big holes of the Gorilla chassis plate are covered, only 2 small holes for gear adjustment left.

Yes, sway bars are self made. Please read the posts. There's a post with some more info, 3 post before the pics, and you'll see a short list of some of the things that are on there.

I like how the titanium rods and 'buckles look together with the Flextek arms. I should replace the sway bar push rods with titanium too, just for looks.
