44t is the biggest i can put in a maxx truck. if i like bigger i have to work on the CD mount.

diff front and rear: 43/10
spur pinion: 44/13
5s
2200kv

SPEED 48 mph(77.5 km/h)

44/12= 44.5mph(71.5 km/h)
44/14= 52 mph(83.4 km/h)

Well, as a general/ rough guide for gearing things like the maxx, revo or flux with the MMM & 2200kv motor:

4s lipo = 40mph
5s lipo = 50mph
6s lipo = 60mph

Those are realistic top speeds for a truck in the 10lb region. As for actual speeds you should aim at, that kinda depends on the terrain and how much space you have. I use 5s lipo with the Medusa 36-80-2000kv motor, roughly equal in power to the MMM motor but a tiny bit slower; I gear for 40mph as thats plenty of speed for the space I have ( about a football field size area roughly ). 44/12 sounds fairly good for your setup, but you can always experiment a little bit up or down to see how you like the acceleration vs topspeed & see how the temps react; there isnt really a perfect setup or gear ratio, just whatevers right for you & what you're doing at the time.

Thanks. I really appreciate your help.

Ofna buggy or truggy diff? Is it any difference? I will change spur to 44t.

suicideneil 04.02.2010 12:23 PM

No difference inside, just different sized spur gears for truggy vs buggy use.

Thanks

Okey
i bought this one:http://iphone.ebay.com/Pages/ViewIte...20diff&emvcc=0
is it okey?

suicideneil 04.03.2010 02:57 PM

That'll be fine. :)

@ George- I think you realised we were talking about CDs rather than front/rear diffs, so I'll let you off

Maxxrickard 04.03.2010 03:22 PM

Is it this one i need for the front/rear diff?

suicideneil 04.03.2010 04:24 PM

It is, but you will need the spiral cut ring gear to match it, cant mix & match straight cut + spiral cut gears in the diffs.

Maxxrickard 04.03.2010 04:28 PM

Aha offcurse. Thanks. Is it possible to find 10t bevel gear to fit My diffs?ehiout change the ring?

suicideneil 04.03.2010 04:34 PM

Hmm, possibly, but it will be smaller in size so wont mesh very well, if at all, with the ring gear. Just replacing the ring and pinion gears shouldnt be too expensive, but it may require a bit of looking around- tower hobbies and amain should have the parts- check under hotbodies and ofna parts.

George16 04.03.2010 04:39 PM

Neil, you're right about that.

Rick, you can buy the 11T from the Hyper ST. They're straight cut gears.

Maxxrickard 04.03.2010 04:46 PM

@Neil. I found it at tower. Okey price
@George, have you used the 11t bevel?its nice if its work, just buy pinions
