Read that. From Castle that tells you what combo of ESC and motors can run under what batteries for the both 2WD and 4WD SC trucks.

The MM works great with a 2650. I am running my 3year old MM and CC 2650kv in the 8ight - 1/8 Buggy. Which is like 9.5 pounds. The Slash 4x4 cant be over 7.5... Go for it. Good Combo

I am running 4s, and geared to do 47-48mph. The MM works very well with either an external BEC or Reciever pack. If it is getting a bit warm. Add a Fan.

10 days since I placed my order and still nothing in my Inbox.
I just sent them another email to cancel my order.
I lost the passion to buy the motors.
As always in life we need to pay extra for good service (and good products).

All of you that already got the motors should feel very lucky; you got good product and good service at a very low price.

slimthelineman 10.04.2010 04:35 PM

guess patience is not one of your virtues. its not like this sale is the only thing going on at castle, did you forget they are releasing a new combo this month? not to mention all the other day to day stuff. i would wait a month for one of the motors for the price, has nothing to do with paying extra for service. do you see any other companies passing the savings on to the cust. on overstocked items? if you are thrown a bone no one cares how it tastes. ive been waiting for almost two weeks for a package from castle, am i worried? nope. will it get here? yup. sorry dude your post was kinda a slap in the face for cc in my opinion. sorry the deal didnt work out for you, but its not like you are the only one waiting for motors.

You could'nt be more patient and save money at the same time ?
You do realize they were bum rushed with orders and had some complications, they can't make everyone happy all at the same time but I'm sure they're really trying. To bad for you..............

phatmonk 10.04.2010 04:44 PM

If CC only has the 6mm shaft 1717 i can allways buy a 6mm bore pinion. The motor was only 70 bucks.

I do have a lot of patient and I dont mind to wait even a month, I have enough motors in my drawer to backup my entire 1/8 brushless fleet.
My only complain is the lack of communication, I gave them my credit card details w/o any kind of feedback for more then 10 days, for that I have no tolerance.

You could always turn the shaft down to 5mm w/a dremel ? I did, worked great .

killajb 10.04.2010 07:04 PM

Ok dude.. now that you cancelled your order, you're free to pay more than double the price on fleabay for the same motor. Only then you
'll still have to wait 'awhile' for it ti ship to you. Unless you wish to pay to speed that up as well.

Of course, I'm just giving you a hard time... still don't think one should look a gift horse in the mouth. Whatever that means.

Have you tried calling them? Phone support has always seemed to be the best way to go with castle.

What motor did you want? If its a 1518 or a 1520 I can ship you one today for $130. :intello:

I'll just order another one and wait for it to arrive.

pinkpanda3310 10.04.2010 10:41 PM

I received my order today  It was only one motor but I am downunder. On the invoice I noticed Castle are still using my old email. It didn't bother me not having correspondence but now I know why  Have to do something about it :whip:

Benji 10.05.2010 12:56 AM

Many thanks to all of you here for great support and offers .
I think you took my decision too hard.
I made an order (which is not a gift!) and decided to cancel it, thats it.
I have the right to do it as a customer, I think my reason is very good.

I'm not going to lose any $ since I don't really need those motors and I'm not going to order them from any other place.

Also, I do like Castle very much and I think they have great products, they just didn’t prepared well for this sale (no one should be surprised that its a big success).

KniteWulfe 10.05.2010 01:35 AM

I agree they weren't really prepared for the amount of orders they got. But It wouldn't have made sense for them to hire extra people and change their ordering system for a sale that is really a favor to us consumers.

I got the first of my orders today. Made it to Korea in just 8 days from ordering. It may be too late to cancel Benji, they probably already shipped them.
