I have i tem. But i have to know aprox how fast i can gear the truck and what gearing the motor/ecs/batteries can run.
The speed is not so importent, when everyting runs great Iam happy.and i talk about kph. I havent find any smaller spur and bigger will not fit, so i will use a bigger pinion. So it just buy pinion 9-15 and try? |
My mistake...
Neil helped me but i mixed kpm and mph.. 4s lipo = 40mph 5s lipo = 50mph 6s lipo = 60mph i will calculate "whit Brian" and be back... |
I have start to build up another maxx for my kids. I will use stockdiffs and wonder what bulkheads is best?
Should i start a new thread for that truck? |
GA bulkheads are great.
|
GA??Can i out the stock diff in it?
|
Great Assembly.
Sure you can. |
Nice. Thanks, where can i find it? Not at ebay..
Find there website, is the 6061alu okey? Is it possible to put the stock diff from 3908 in this:http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...LM17001&cat=47 |
Yes, the diffs in the newer ( grey chassis ) emaxxes are all the same, they will fit any standard maxx design bulkheads. The FLM ones are what I use on my Gmaxx- very nice quality.
|
Than i can put it both in the bulkheads and the combobulkheads? Is that right, that FLM has two options for stockdiffs?
|
Yes, they sell normal bulks and combo bulks for 3905 & 3906 diff gears; I must say though- dont waste your time or money with the combo bulks. Buy either the standard bulks and some complete 3905 diffs from ebay, or buy the Hybrid bulks & some 1/8 ofna/ hotbodies diffs from ebay or Mike. The combos do fix the problem of diff-case flexing, but they dont fix the weaker spider gears or generally poor mesh of the ring & pinion gears ( the teeth dont match up all that well, even when properly meshed ).

Think i go with Stock diff and the normal bulks in My kids truck.
I have hybrid and HB diffs in My first truck. |
this should be a better setup:
Differential Ratio: 4.3 Transmission Ratio: 1 Other Ratio: 1 Spur Tooth Count: 46 Pinion Tooth Count: 14 Total Voltage: 18.5 Motor KV: 2200 Tire Diameter (inches): 5.8 Tire Ballooning (inches): 0 Motor Current Draw: 0 Motor Coil Resistance: 0.006 Spur/Pinion Ratio: 3.29 : 1 Total Ratio: 14.12857 : 1 Tire Circumference (inches): 18.22 inches (462.82 mm) Rollout: 1.29:1 Total Motor Speed: 40700 RPM Vehicle Speed: 49.71 mph (79.85 km/h) Effective KV Value: 2200 KT constant: 0.61 oz-in/A Motor Torque: Amperage not specified... Final Torque: Amperage not specified... Final Power: Amperage not specified... |
That's look cool... but it might be geared a little high for bashing... I would 'personally' go down a tooth or two on the pinion... see the below examples
Differential Ratio: 4.3 Transmission Ratio: 1 Other Ratio: 1 Spur Tooth Count: 46 Pinion Tooth Count: 11 Total Voltage: 18.5 Motor KV: 2200 Tire Diameter (inches): 5.8 Tire Ballooning (inches): 0 Motor Current Draw: 0 Motor Coil Resistance: 0 Spur/Pinion Ratio: 4.18 : 1 Total Ratio: 17.98182 : 1 Tire Circumference (inches): 18.22 inches (462.82 mm) Rollout: 1.01:1 Total Motor Speed: 40700 RPM Vehicle Speed: 39.05 mph (62.74 km/h)... Full charge at 22v - 46.44 mph (74.6 km/h) Effective KV Value: 2200 KT constant: 0.61 oz-in/A Differential Ratio: 4.3 Transmission Ratio: 1 Other Ratio: 1 Spur Tooth Count: 46 Pinion Tooth Count: 12 Total Voltage: 18.5 Motor KV: 2200 Tire Diameter (inches): 5.8 Tire Ballooning (inches): 0 Motor Current Draw: 0 Motor Coil Resistance: 0 Spur/Pinion Ratio: 3.83 : 1 Total Ratio: 16.48333 : 1 Tire Circumference (inches): 18.22 inches (462.82 mm) Rollout: 1.11:1 Total Motor Speed: 40700 RPM Vehicle Speed: 42.61 mph (68.44 km/h)... Full charge at 22v - 50.67 mph (81.39 km/h) Effective KV Value: 2200 KT constant: 0.61 oz-in/A With smaller pinions, you will still get good top speeds and increased acceleration... Alien |
nice thanks.
i think i will go for 12t. still wait for mikea CD mount... have anyone used a CD in a FLM truck? |
