A Kontronik Jazz 55-10-32 is able to provide peak Amps above 100A. I have several logs on 10s1p A123 with a Neu 1515 and Neu 1512 "proofing" this. I see regular Peaks of 2KW and the max of my batteries seems to be around 2.5Kw. No cogging so far and no thermaling (small heatsink added).
2 new HV ESCs will be released by kontronik in spring. Jive 60+ HV and Jive 80+ HV. Both able to be fed by up to 12s lipo. 60a and 80A cont. With proper cooling (heatsink) they will be able to provide twice those numbers. Burst currents are not published yet. Both will have a car program with forward only and proportional brake. Both will have an integrated BEC wich can be used up to 12s lipo. And they will be waterproof. Preliminary prices: 250 Euros for the smaller one and 300 Euros for the Jive 80+ HV. Both could be interesting choices for HV applications. As of now details are only published in german. Clicking on "Datenblatt" leads you to the specs (published in german and english). |

Won't a 1527 1D (2300kv) be too much on 10 or 12s? It'll be at the 60 000rpm limit at around 26v.

I'll be using 12S on a 1527/1.5Y and 10S on a 1521/1.5Y. I use 6S now on a 1521/1Y and tried 10S and it was too much.

With 12S, I would recommend the following: Neu 1527/1.5Y and 1527/2.5D. With 10S I would go with: Neu 1527/2D and 1521/1.5Y. Now if those are 2 big then use the following: With 10S go with the 1515/2Y and 12S go with 1515/2.5Y. Geared properly, they can give you great run times and cooler too.
