Now thats a big motor
|
Yes, its running an 11.1 Volt Li-Poly Pack.
I have this picture of the motor mount, but it was only a prototype. The New one has more adjustment, a thicker, wider base, and a bigger motor shaft cutout. It will also be machines much better, but here is the prototype. http://www.rpm-photography.com/Light...MotorMount.jpg |
I can imagine on 11.1V this motor stays cool. May I ask what pinion this is? And is it hardened?
|
I'm actually trying to find out what kind of pinion it is myself. But yes, its hardened. I will have pinions availble in the future.
As for the motor, it stays pretty darn cool. |
When it comes to it, I'll case harden some pinions from RC-Monster Mike. Or he will have a hardened batch himself. His new 5mm pinions ROCK!!
PerformanceRC, I would suggest a motorbrace for the feigao. May save you serious trouble. |
Everyone says I need a motor mount, but I have run it in several trucks/buggies for many many months with no problems. I even took the buggy off a couple of roofs with that motor.
I suppose I should buy one just in case, but I have to say, they sure arent pretty. |
Well, you can make something yourself. Petty simple, and if you use alu rods, you can also anodize them.
Here's what I did: http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...vonKids004.jpg |
That one looks nicer IMO, Nice revo too!!
Mike needs to seel hardened piniosn too. |
I wonder if that buggy has the room to mount 12 sub-c cells.
|
It would be tough if you kept the motor where it is. I tried and you would have to come up with something very special.
|
Thanks. I like your conversion too. I'll do an 8th scale buggy one fine day.
If enough people show interest, I'm sure Mike will get a hardened batch of pinions. |
