brushlessboy16 04.02.2008 06:26 AM

how many though?

Takedown 04.03.2008 10:07 PM

I would run 6-8 on a braket kinda like sike has on his outrunner e-revo.

Hey Guys, Has anyone used the TeknoRc Battery tray?
http://www.teknorc.com/product_info....roducts_id=940.
It has the same exact dimensions as the Pack I'm getting and is cheap too, i might have to drill a couple holes in the chassis but it would look a heck of a lot better then what i was thinking :D

According to all my measurements and calculations, the raze should weigh in somewhere around 9.5slbs, 10 lbs max.. And at full throttle, it will be making 3.7hp or 2590watts!!!!
that makes the power to weight ratio about .375 to 1!!!
Minding that the Buggati V16 Veyron has .230hp per pound... yay :D

GO OUTRUNNERS!

Hey guys just a little update, my Order from United hobbies is still backorderd!!!! AHHH NOO

I have been wondering how you guys think i should mount the motor, right now my idea is to Machine a big hunk of .3'' thick delrin into a mount that would use the same holes as the center diff did.. Do you think it will be strong enuff?

Does anyone know if a Motor mount made of 1/2inch Thick Delrin will be enuff for the motor?

Hey Guys just a little update, my motor and Battery just came into stock and should be here shortly,It looks like the machined mount idea is a failure... might use some steel angle to make a mount, then either some round stock or flat plate for bracing... its really simple but should get the job done

Arct1k 04.21.2008 09:45 AM

Why not use one of these

Ehh a coupla reasons, i would like to make it myself for one, im not one to build things out of a box.... then b/c its not made for an outrunner motor, and because i need something that will keep the mount from flexing.

Arct1k 04.21.2008 09:59 AM

Does the motor have screw holes at both ends? You could fab two of them together to make like a diff mount...

brushlessboy16 04.21.2008 10:00 AM

no, only at one end, the other side of the endbell spins with the shaft.

rcmonkey 04.21.2008 10:10 AM

What pinions are you planning on using with the 8mm shaft?

brushlessboy16 04.21.2008 10:14 AM

It is an outrunner motor running direct drive, im running diff cups on the motor shaft and running dogbones directly to the front and rear diff
