I think the fan is a good idea. If you get a stick or something dragging in the drive train the fan could be the difference between blowing the esc or not. The fan forces air over the esc even when going at slow speeds and as castle says this is what is hardest on the esc. No fan would be great but I don't see how you would do it any other way.

Phase-Phase resistance is .000216 ohms. 67 mils of copper thickness on the circuit board. 6.5mm plugs with 10ga wires -- male plugs are included (and in the first run of production, we may be soldering the 10ga wires to the board... I don't know if we will have quantity of the solder-down bullets in time for the first production run.) Patrick del Castillo President Castle Creations FIRST POST! YEAH! |

 Welcome aboard Patrick! I guess you got Mike's email then?
Don't mind all the bitching about the delays. All will be forgiven once it's finally released. I'm amazed at the capability of the little MM in my truggy. My non-CC motor is actually the weak thermal link in my system, not the MM. I can't wait to be impressed by the MMM. |

Wires or plugs is fine, can't wait to get mine. |
1hr left to get them on the web site with 25% off? Wishful thinking?

That's pretty funny! I will say what's not funny is seeing this thing and Patrick's post - freaking awesome!!! Nice to see you stop in and make a showing Patrick. Very respectable and much appreciated. I can't wait to get that long awaited email from Joe saying the first ones are ready to order. |

Welcome to the boards Patrick! |
Welcome Patrick!
Looks like I have found the esc to power my hyper st truggy when it gets here! (yes, I bought another vehicle to convert) |
Thanks
Just what you needed lincpimp, another R/C vehicle. Soon your going to need a show room like Jay Lenno to hold all of your toys.
Patrick welcome aboard. Thank you very much for the update. We really appreciate your efforts. As you may have noticed there are a ton of guys in panic mode drewling for any info about the MMM, so you stopping by will lift our spirits. Nice work on the controller. Looks pretty cool. From the sounds of it this will be out very soon. We are all very excited about the comming of the Lord of monster truck speed controls. I bet a lot of guys will purchase two of them just to have the spare on hand right up front. Way to go CC. |
Hmm, I wonder how many of these I should buy? 5 or 6? I have a few vehicles in mind that could use a solid 4s esc, and a few 5 and 6s vehicles too. Plus what can I do with the old mm escs? Looks like it will be time for a twin motor/esc something or other! Mabey my racebomb could go dual motor!

I don't mind having the fan. Most people run fans with the MM anyway + it looks alot cleaner than it does when you mount your own fan

Looks good. Looking forward to it. I'm sure its gonna be a hell of a power conductor. Kinda big to squeeze onto a buggy chassis. But for a Truggy or MT it should be just the ticket. The buggies can stick with the MM anyway, they run perfectly there.
As long as your here Patrick... How about a MM with a switching BEC built in good for 5s or at least 4s. You can ditch the built in USB port and put it in that space. Just program it like the other ESCs with the Castle Link. That would be a perfect 1/8 buggy esc. I know... I know.... So many requests, so little resources to get it all done, but I can ask cant I. :mdr: You can call it the MMM Lite, or the MM on Steroids. |
Welcome to the boards Patrick!
I've set my homepage to Castle now, so I can be one of the first! |
