that would be the pin!
 
i considered a replacement pin....i do not want something loose inside my aluminum UlTRAMAXXED gears!....what will keep the steel from flying out?

you need to use something large enough that it has to be pressed in. some even heat the shaft in an oven to expand it and then press in the pin. I ground the edges off an allen wrench and pressed it in with a vice and then dremeled off the excess. whether you go single or dual plettys I would do this upgrade, I've snapped two rollpins with a 6.5 hv maxx, and thats 1/5 the power of one pletty

LOL... I used an allen wrench as well... I just pressed it in with a big bench vice..

the allen wrench must've worked well, because it held up even when I had the 2280 on it..

i get to purchase more tools...bench vise!:mdr:
i am buying charger this wee and batts next week!
i cam across a couple sets of extra emaxx gears and had to PURCHASE!...at this rate i will need trani gears sooner or later....the all aluminum w/brass idlers are very hard to find!!!!!
