where did you get the fan for the old mm?

jnev 05.07.2008 10:51 PM

Just makes me even more excited to get mine...

Hi jhautz,

Thanks for the pics. So, did the esc came with wires soldered direct to the PCB as shown ?

Regards,
Joe Ling

According to posts in other threads, the wires will come on the first run. Due to problems with welding process, for the plugs not being perfected

Castle did not have a supply of the board mounted bullets for the first production run. They are supposed to have board mounted bullets when the motor combos are available. (info from other threads here)

Yes.

MTBikerTim 05.08.2008 12:55 AM

It would be a massive brushed motor to need this sucker.

BL_maxx 05.08.2008 12:57 AM

wow i think i found what im going to replace my evx with lol. thats cool i didnt know that it could run brushed. wonder what the limit is??

I'm really liking that single-layer FET board. Great for thermal management. How is that heatsink held on? Just thermal paste? I may pick one up and throw a TEC/WB combo on it! :mdr:

W_N, what is TEC/WB stand for? its sick, looks much better than in those other photos ive seen, cant wait!!

It's gotta have a huge limit... The Mamba Max already could handle dual low-turn brushed motors particularly in forward/brake mode, and the Mamba Monster is supposed to have twice the current capability of the MM.

DRIFT_BUGGY 05.08.2008 05:43 AM

Thanks for the photos, comparied to the MM the size doesn't look that much better considering the fan on the mm

will it be at all possible to rig up a system to power a 200W brushed motor in a scooter with this? like that would let me run a123 cells or somethign just for kicks! any ideas on the throttle controls, having a radio seems crazy!! but im liking the fan idea.
