Ridiculous Outrageous Asinine Rules
We should have a contest to see who comes up with the best one. :yipi::party: |
I have to say that this is total BS!!! If someone is just getting into RC what do they usually buy? A MT or ST to have fun bashing, these are the people that will eventually look to race. Not many people just say "hey I think I want to try racing RC" if they've never been into it, and if they have been they prolly have a MT or ST. Of course this is all just my opinion but it's also ME!!! I started with a T-MAXX then a REVO, now I've gone electric and have an E-MAXX and Rustler both BL and waiting for the E-REVO. I'm having a hard time getting into racing though cause the closest track to me is about 50miles. As far as accronyms for ROAR I agree with Roar Obviously Affraid of Revo, Revo platinum makes it easy for someone to get a competitive MT and the upcoming release of the E-REVO will allow us BL guys to get into the class at a reasonable cost. I say F!!! ROAR if they want to look down on the average inthusiast!

lol  Nice one  |
Well, I thank you guys for the compliments on RC Pro. We are trying hard to change things. The truth though is the MT and GT classes have been dwindling in numbers as time goes. In my area I think I saw 2 GT's last year at the club, run by novices and they ran with the electrics
RC Pro has opened up the ability to run electrics with the nitro mt's, and we are even talking about combining the gt's with electric trucks and running those in the electric series, just because of turnouts. If you want to see the classes survive, then sign up for the local RC Pro race in your area and help support them. We are not like ROAR, in that the majority of our racers are not the big name sponsored guys that don't buy the products. It is comprised more grass roots, so to speak, of guys that pay their way. We have to look at numbers and such at years end to decide on how things progress for the following year. It's tough sometimes to make the decisions. I have been fighting tonight with the locals on why we don't have an electric class in the nitro offroad series. we even said they could race, but points don't count, but that's not even good enough. so after all the aggravation I had tonight, it's really nice to read some good words... thanks again. It's the appreciation factor that makes doing all this hassle as a volunteer worthwhile. |

I have been fighting hard to include the brushless 8th scales. We are going to allow it up here. I don't even own a nitro now myself. I have been converted to the green energy hehe.
Let racers decide what happens, not the mfg's. I'd like to thank my sponsors, paypal and bank account, for their continued support of my hobby. LOL. Hell I am even sponsoring our series and I am a one man auto detailing operation, so in reality, I am paying to be the Director... once we get non profit organization status, then I can get receipts for tax purposes though hehe |
