Agree, if you don't want to change the rubbers anyway, a small drop of C/A glue will take care of those screws (I imagine :) )

The Cheyenne wheels are the ones I described to you on the phone, Gusti. These are the wheels I modify to make then narrower, which make the 40 series Bowtie similar in size to the standard bowtie when mounted, with a lower sidewall. These are the ones I was suggesting for your son, as he seems to like the Chrome look(I like these wheels myself).

On the 4o series. You can mount a set of traxxas 3.8 size tires to them. Just to let you know. Not sure if any one else has done it.

No not really. Not on the tires i did. The tires are light to. I use them to shed some weight on truck. I wish i had duct taped them though.

Yes, Serum, I did get your wheels. I am working on some pictures of the modified wheels and tires(need batteries for the camera). I will post them when I get them done.

It looks like the wheels might be a bit too wide for the tires but the smaller tires keep the weight down. Not bad at all though.

If you run the wider rim. It pulls the bead from the tire some. The up side to this is that the tire does not slide from side to side. It handles fantastic. They are the best handleing tire i have. They have like zero roll cause they are pulled apart. Hard on the glue though. :D

No I have mounted the dace on the wheels, this works pefectly. Than I tried to mount the complete wheels on the truck. This is impossible.

The reason is very simple. I am using the 8mm UE CVD's. So the CVD has a 5mm winding with a 10mm screw nut. So the diameter outside of a 10mm wrench is 14.2 mm, but the diameter of the hole from the dace adapter is 12.8mm. For this reason I can't tighten the nut.

Guys I had so much misfortune with this supermaxx, this is unbelievable. Does somebody of you have an idea how I can solve this problem.

I went to a special screw shop and was asking for a 5mm winding nut with 9mm outside diameter. But this is not available, because the dealer told me such a nut will not hold.

My understanding is that this is a common dilema. I think you are saying that there is not enough space to get a socket wrench on the nut? If so the remedy is to grind away enough material from a dedicated socket, to permit space.

I have one thing to say. Grinder.
I took a ten mm socket to a grinder and it fits great. I have not broke the socket either. I hope this helps. I run the dace adapter with 8mm ue cvds.
