Thank you! I need to tidy everything, as I am having issues finding everything! I will try this weekend, if I can get my buddy to help me. He also works for me, so maybe I can threaten his job if he does not want to! I will get some pics when I am done. Half of the stuff is on the floor right now!

I will have to take a pic of mine. Basically my room is for r/c and is also the movie room. I use a computer desk for the cars I am working on and where the keyboard usually pulls out is my chargers and power supply.

I dont have nearly the amount of motors as lincpimp though. :)

I have more motors than that, I like to collect them! Just got a few mega motors, so it is time to test them out!

I sold all my 8th scale electronics so I think I only have 9-10 brushless motors right now. They are all for 10th scale though.

Mine is still getting built but can sort of see what I am doing.
Got 2 cupboards built to store the parts/cars etc. in. Small cupboard on the left is to store tools, boxes, etc. and on top on the cuboard will be a little workbench and pegboard up on the wall. All the shelves beside the large cupboard is to store other tools/equipment on

This is on the other side of the garage, the beams are up, just got to put the pegboard up and put a few shelfs in and move the workbench up along it. Will have around 12 powerpoints along this wall

Hey Sike, like the usage of the large outrunner to keep the drill press from "floating" away!

You guys would really laugh if you say how dis-organized I am! I have boxes of parts everywhere. I just found a bunch of stuff for my rc boats in my garage at home!? How it got there I have no idea!

well, my room is where it all lives, parents dont want it downstairs lol.
my bed is a great place to check the junk onto when im using my table, or i just sit on the floor and do stuff there... that way, tools and screws cant fall off and get lost :yes:

school work usually takes place on the kitchen tablem, if at all... its near impossible to do work while in fron tof the computer with 1/2 a million emails telling me that you guys have replied to a thread :lol:

Well considering that we live in an apartment leased by the goverment I have no real shop at the moment. We have a 5 bedroom place. One was converted into an office on day one. Then I set up shop in another one and I started out by just putting a rollaway PC desk in it and now the room is overflowing with R/C gear. It is cool to see the faces of people when they walk in to look around. We are hoping for a five or six bedroom house in Korea so I will have a place to put everything. If not we will be purchasing a 12 X 16 shed for a makeshift shop. I look forward to having our own house again some day so I can build a 4 car garage and put the shop out there.

My lab is currently under construction, it will fall together pretty nice. According to my brother in law it's turning out to be a clean room... (i went nuts with white HPL)

I use Large containers, which i store on high shelves, for each brand/type vehicle an own container. 3 or 4 containers for wheels/foams..

small organizers, use the types you can close.. Put some labels on them.. Saves a lot of trouble. You don't use much tools when wrenching. get a decent soldering station.

Don't make the workspace too large, it doesn't help Look at pic 2 of tdc57, thats what my bench looks like if i make it too large.. You need to stay motivated to clean up your mess while wrenching and after wrenching. every single time.. This takes disipline for some people.. (like me)

Install some decent lights..

some hooks on the wall for hanging up your RC by their arms, don't store them on shelves.. hang them on the wall, it looks nice and saves room.

My workspace is about 9X17ft, but it's 4.5meters high on one side.. useless height.

Yeah, a sink might be handy if your relative far away from a tap..

my work area is my living room. I store all my tools and toys in a giant closet but then pull it all out onto the living room floor.:lol: I am still in college and live in an apartment so when i am all done i will have a garage dedicated to R/C.

Hey Serum I like the idea of hanging the vehicles on the wall by their arms. That is a pretty cool idea. For cleaning I try to finish up any session by leaving the room just the way I want others to see it. As clean and organized as possible. That way if we get visitors unannounced they will always leave with a good impression and maybe even want to get into the hobby because of what they see. Being a mechanic you learn that if you want to have a good experience working with tools and lots of parts, that you have to keep your work area somewhat organized. That way you never have to look for anything, because you know where everything is (within reason). This hobby can be such a blast or total chaos just by the way you keep your workbench. Everyone has their own way of doing things, and of course we learn from what we see from others around us.

Wow! Seeing these work spaces is some major inspiration to get organized.
