its not the ultra lx pro...look at the front a-arms. people, people, people is it that hard to figure out? lol....its the ultra mbx comp. look at its here http://ofna.com/ultrambxcomp.html . look at the suspension and the shocks, as well as the servo and chassis plates.

I have question. I was checking out my buggy. I notice the diff turned freely. I took it apart and no oil. What weight oil works good for the buggy? I don't think any of the diffs have oil in.

it would depend on what you are gonna do with it..... i would say a lighter oil in the front and a fairly heavy oil in the rear for good acceleration and then something like a medium in the center diff? just a guess though....still dont know much about the buggies...

Everyone is a little different when it comes to diff lube.
I was happy with my Hyper 7 TQ conversion when I ran 1,000 in the front, 3,000 in the center, and 7,000 in the rear.
Your mileage may vary.

I have some 5000 weight oil. I may put that all the way around and see. don't know until i try. If I don't like it I get me some others and keep on trying. I will try your setup to batfish if don't like it. I think some oil may do better than none. I have to work some of the bugs out of the buggy. It don't seem right some where. I notice a few things bent in front. Have to check it out real good. Will it be possible to see a good 60mph pass out of this ride. Thanks

5000 will probably be fine in the center and rear, but your steering may suffer a little with that lube in the front. If you haven't driven 8th scale before you may not even notice a difference, though. Like you said, use what you have and work from there :)
With enough voltage and high enough gearing, I'm sure you can get to 60mph. You had better make sure you ease into the throttle, though. Once you're geared for that speed any sudden throttle movements are likely to push your setup too far, which could be a very bad thing for the wallet ;)
If you plan on racing the buggy regularly, check the speeds of the buggies at the track and just try to match their speeds. They're already running as fast as the track will allow so there's no need to make yours 10mph faster. If you're just going to bash with it, gear for your maximum fun in the area you run it :)

I have 38 acre field to run in. So I can open it up. I may leave the front alone and drive it first to see what is what. Put the 5000 in the center and rear. I want this to be my speed buggy. It is low and should drive and handle a little better than my maxx. I was thinking of a 7xl with 14-16 cells. I not sure yet. I get my lehner ordered up I put the 9xl on it. I figure it out as I go. It has a hi torque servo on it to. So that will help with steering as well.

Alot of the buggy guys run 3.000 fr, 5.000 or 7.000 middle, and 2.000 or 1.000 in rr. You will have to play around with it to find out what you like.

Thanks hippie. That is a little thicker than batfishes. Everyone has different preference.
This is one of the dirtiest projects I have ever worked on. You all thought it was dirt in pic. I think it is worse than I thought.

Ideal diff oil selection will vary greatly with track conditions. On a loose or rough track, thinner oil is typically better (I like 5K in the front and center and 1K in the rear). A high traction, smooth running surface will call for thicker oil (on smotth surfaces, I would probably run 20K in the center, 10K in the front and 5K in the rear). Rough tracks require more diff action, so lighter oil is in order. A smooth track requires maximum traction(less wory about spinning out), so heavy oil is in order.

forget about all thoses weight oils.. I just use Vegetable oil.. haha j/k

but I like the 3000 front, and 7000 rear...
