Ja, Ray. I hear you. I'm also of the peaceful sort.
I'm 27, my son's 5 and my daughter is 3. Just for the record :) What RC do you have? |
I have 2 Electric Pede's thus far. Still waiting for my other one from dabid. My Pede now, is mildy hoped up. It's has the must haves, you know, RPM Hubs with stainless steel bearings and the like. Here is a list of my hop ups thus far...

MRC Super Brain 959 Battery Charger.... awesome little thing 7. Cut down body post, front and rear 8. Trimmed down body... looks more off-road-ish 9. Dubro Yellow Antena Tube 10. Traxxas Aluminum Shock Caps... must have 11. Water Proof Steering Servo 12. Two Epic 3000 NiMH Batteries... great for bashing and club level racing 13. RPM Yellow ESC Mount 14. Bah the Pede I should be packing up now instead of wasting time on a forum is sooooo much better than that, except for maybe the fact that your's is clean. Um, well, that just means that mine was actually taken off road, you're just a poser, admit it. All that yellow on there, you know that's the color choice of ricers, are you trying to say something through that? What's next, a non connected Stinger stuck to the hood of the body with a giant NOS sticker because NOS makes everything better? :L: :L:

:L:
Actually, I like your truck. I'm sure it's not that clean anymore. How do you like the stock tires? |

The stock tires are bad, I mean, really bad. There OK for right now. Once they wear out, I'll be getting some new ones. My Pede now is gonna be a racer (not a ricer :L: ), so I'll have some race treads on there when I'm all done hopping that one up. My other Pede, that I'm getting from dabid (in 10 years :L: ) is gonna be my basher, but I'll still take care of it. That Pede deserves a better home :L: :L: As for the cleaning, I try to clean my RC's as much as possible. The wife tends to get a ruffle somewhere about my RC's being dirty in the house, if you know what I mean :C: :L: Ray:D |

Second, there was one time I saw stock Pede tires hook up, and they worked better than my Masher 2000's too somehow. It was in Palm Desert at the Hobby People race track on Thanksgiving weekend, and it'd been raining all day the day before. The squishy but still very tacky consistency of the mud/dirt lent itself to stock Pede tires and I got beat by a guy with a box stock Pede, while my Lehner 5300 made my hopped up Pede a gigantic handful despite the Masher 2000's. I had zero cornering grip because of my speed, but the stocker never got up to any speed so it didn't have that problem! At the very least, I was able to do a wheelie away from every wipeout, got the crowd going to see a yellow CJ8 topped Pede wheelying off a jump only to crash hard and keep going.......until I glazed the slipper pegs by having the spring way too loose. A loose slipper is no compensation for undergearing, next time I'll just put a bigger pinion on! |
