I agree!

That is one hungry beast... 9+HP in only 24lbs is just incredible. Compared to a performance car like a Mustang GT with decent mods (~3000lbs, 400HP) the weight/power ratio can't be touched... ~2lbs/HP with your E-Baja and only 7.5lbs/HP with the Mustang GT!

That is fantastic. Glad to see these results. What kind of temps do you have right now in Iraq?

texassp, its about 110 in the day right now, it will cool down to the 80s or 90s at night. in another month or two it will be 120 or more and regardless of how you have your stuff setup it will run hot. you being from texas, im sure you understand.

JERRY2KONE 06.06.2008 08:20 AM

Cool Stuff.

WOW that is one nice Rig. That battery pack looks like a cinder block sitting in that thing. That is hilarious. Nice work guys. It is good to know that you guys can have a little bit of creative fun in between duties.

Retired Navy here. Between the press and our own goverment they cannot seem to make up their collective minds as to which way to go with things over there. Trust me there are a lot of American people who stand by and support everything that you guys have to do. Your sacrifices are noticed and appreciated. Stand tall and come home safe fellas. Gald to see that you are making good time of what little free time you get. God bless.

Jerry at US-NATO.

Very nice. Are you worried about getting debris in the motor with the open end?

Arct1k 06.06.2008 11:09 AM

Yeah it gets hot and humid and Houston, but you guys have it tough. Anytime I get to moaning about the weather I think of all of the men and women like you in Iraq in the hotter weather in full battle gear and not having the amenities we take for granted. My prayers go out to all soldiers and my thanks as well.

I think your system is holding pretty well considering the heat though and I am glad to hear that.

Amazing job guys. Absolutly love it. That thing is pushing over 6700Watts at the peaks. Thats insane power. I say mount some weapons to the thing and go to war with it. Very, very cool.

Does the stock pinion gear just mount to the shaft on the 2215?

suicideneil 06.06.2008 02:17 PM

There is a special mounting adaptor for the pinion apparently.

Mike would sell loads of kits if he offered the required parts- I'd buy one myself even, and sell my beloved Gmaxx.

Motor mount
Pinion adaptor
Chassis brace thingy

Not much too it really...

bl-is-future 06.06.2008 02:22 PM

id buy one too. Just need a baja to go along with it.:lol:

JERRY2KONE 06.06.2008 03:36 PM

you bet ya.

Yea those Baja 5B buggies do look like fun, and pretty impressive as well. The up front pricing is a littl bit steep, but I am sure that I will have one at some point in the next year. I am liking the 1/5 scale stuff a lot. After owning a few MT's I am sure that I will be moving up there sooner than later.

Nice Conversion... that's awesome.. Love the power of that thing...

jhautz 06.07.2008 01:28 AM

Anyone have a picture of what the pinion adapter looks like. Is it the gear itself, or an adapter the stock gear fits on. Is there gearing options available for these or is the stock pinion the only option. Is it Mod1 or something bigger?
