The controller location is actually not bad at all, IMO. It isn't the dirtiest place if you have a mud guard and a body installed, and with most batteries used in these big trucks, installing the motor, controller and electronics opposite the battery makes for excellent weight balance. Keeping the controller down on the chassis keeps Cg low as well.
I often install my controllers in the very same place, actually. :)

In past i had Nomadio receiver in same place and it failed because some stupid rock stucked between PCB asnd RX body and screwd copper traces. Actualy when i opened it it was full of dirt. Now RX in custom box same place and when i look on that I see sand and rock marks on it.

Durability

The Muggy is very durable. I've had very few problems running at about 13.5 lbs on 4s. I have RPM arms all around, they are much better than stock. The front bulkhead seems to work loose and pull out the screws that hold it to the chassis. I drilled it for oversize screws and no problems since. I do seem to break front shock shafts (3 so far) in collisions. I've bashed, raced, jumped, cartwheeled, and hit all kinds of heavy objects. Overall, it's a seriously tough truck and lots of fun to drive on any terrain. I am curious about the Savage, it's a real animal from the vids I've seen.

It's very nice, the more I see these the more I like them. it has everything I liked about the lst and none of the stuff I didnt like...I want one. By the way the clean installs make all the differance in the world great job.
