its more of a general statement...some people need to have the latest technological breakthroughs and be the first to have them.... be the proverbial guinea pig

Sammus 07.24.2008 02:41 AM

yes i was confused at first too. Also i am one of those guinea pigs you refer to.
It is a disease there is no medication for. No rehab either. Oh well guess i will just have to keep buying.

3.1 is a beta and is targetted at the air controllers (mainly helis) to give them a new governor mode.

For the car controllers the only addition is the ability to print your settings - No actual firmware change I believe.

DrFizz2k1 07.26.2008 05:46 PM

everything was working fine... UNTIL... I installed XP sp3 and all of a sudden, "Unable to connect to database" pops up. I tried the fixes listed on the website, but they wont install in sp3 because they are "included in the service pack."

DrFizz2k1 07.29.2008 04:55 AM

Tried to unstall SP3 and it still does the same thing.. will uninstall and clear the registry and try older version... hope it works... this is gettin old.. I emaild castle about this weeks ago, no response... and none here..

FIXT!!!!

.NET Framework 2.0 seems to have been the culprit. Furthur research on Castles website set me on the path, and a quick ugrade to framework 3.5 has everything working again..

Maybe i shouldnt have been so lazy... My bad.. Sorry Castle...

is your install a valid/ legit one? the problem these days is from those running copied or downloaded software which can cause issues like this.

but install the framework 3.5, that fixed it for me. (same sort of thing, dont think it was exactly the same error though) (its on windows download site)

hoep this helps,
ryan
