Ok that's what I thought, I just wanted to make sure there was no timing or anything.

If you are going to run 14cells, try a 11t pinion (if you could find one). Otherwise, you will have to find out if a 12t will make the motor get too hot, and if it does, you would have to go down to a 10t pinion. With 16 cells (TOO MUCH, IMO) the 10t pinion might be too big.

Hmm, I'd probably just go with the 10 then on 14 cells. Would I be better off with 12 cells since I have a larger selection of pinions?

In my opinion. The 7xl may be better. It will pull the taller gear better than the 10 L. The Kv is almost the same. 2382 for 7xl and 2458 for the 10 L. I would like to get a 7xl for my buggy later on. I just have a 14 l avilible collecting dust. It may wind up with a 9xl on it.

coolhand, I think he meant the 10t pinion :).

The 7XL on 12 cells would be enough for racing on a decent sized track. You could try14 cells, but you would have to watch the temperatures of everything.

sorry
I don't understand everything. I get lost some time.

GeeReg 10.13.2005 07:23 PM

That's ok coolhand, I should be more clear. This stuff is going to drive me crazy trying to decide.

coolhandcountry 10.13.2005 07:30 PM

The decision making is the hard part. Hey you picked a good place though. I may try to test my buggy this weekend. I have to let you know.

Alright sounds good.
