I voted no, mainly due to I don't feel its needed it has been stated before the forums members do a good job of self moderating...if somebody has a point to argue I would listen though......

Nope, just a regular mod.

BTW: I'm not trying to be "robocop", just trying to keep things ok...

you dont show up as a moderator at the bottom of the page

BrianG 08.03.2008 10:43 PM

I know. That's because I'm still an assistant moderator. Seriously, it's probably just some list that has to be manually updated or something and just never was. No biggie really.

I voted no for the reason that its a bit early to say that we need new ones or additional for that matter. Mods usually do things at the back end. Also for the reason that the mods are there to keep Mike's paid web hosting to promote RCM and have a good community. I guess what I'm saying is that having more and more mods might cause conflict of interest that may lead to the removal of this website (worse case).

I agree with Linc, for sale forum section is pushing too much..its privilege and were lucky to be even allowed to post specially this forum was built for Mike's business

Yeah, I think we should have an election of who the moderators should be. I'm not saying we have to boot the "old" mods, but just get some new blood in there. Here's the criteria I think the contestants should meet: member for 6 months or over, already be or have been a moderator on a different forum, and be able to log in daily. Additions?

I voted no, because i been around for a real long time (I think i was #256 but not sure) and Never have i seen a better place to talk and BS. Don't forget Serum, At 10,000 posts, he is always around to mod and hijack

jayjay283 08.03.2008 11:46 PM

Why ? The mods are cool here, never messed with me. I try and be good and not make their job harder. I dont see any strangeness or anarchy that needs to be rectified. We are all pretty mellow here.... Most times

brushlessboy16 08.03.2008 11:48 PM

alright guys i see your point and agree

..brianG is still robocop

I would say that this is an excellent forum as is. I feel that there could be a few minor things to help it though. First I don't know if this exists or not but an easy way to find the moderators such as under members have a sub category for moderators and admin. Awhile back there was some spam crap on here and I had a hard time remembering the names of and moderators to remove the crap from our beloved forum. I don't remember who I came up with but I think it was BrianG or Serum, but the problem was quickly solved once I came up with a name. Now for the whole FS issue. I'm guilty of posting for sale on here and I've bought from here and glad that I was able to buy my crt.5 and mmm here. I beleive that if it is going to be allowed at all that there should be a for sale section with sub sections for vehicles, batteries/chargers, motors/esc, other electronics OR it shouldn't be allowed at all. I felt bad cluttering the forum with a fs thread but felt that the people that have helped me the most should have first dibs at something I'm not going to use anymore.

No additional moderators and no new ones unless someone wants to give up their position.

I just hit the report button for spam, whoever gets it eliminates it

My two cents:

I think we have good thing going and wouldn’t have it any other way, I believe we all do a good job in assistance moderators on our threads and others. Brian G and the rest of the GANG really give us the opportunity to speak our minds, have fun and for the most part leave us alone to use Mikes site as we see fit.
