Does anyone on here know what you would need to convert a 4 wheeler or something like this to brushless? Most likely using lead acid batteries if that changes anything. I'm thinking about that being my high school - college project. I'm going to get a bank account and put a portion of my paycheck in there to get enough money. Would a brushed motor and controller be more practical?

Someone on here is doing a BL conversion, only with a 4x4 pickup, and some nice new sealed lead acid batts too- cant remember who though.

A big ass brushed motor or two would be more practical, since you can find the controllers more easily and cheaply (power wheels type setup).

That's it. Two big-ass brushless motors.

In all seriousness, I know of some on hobby city.

Two of those will give me 14000 watts which is 18.77hp.

I just joined another forum - diyelectriccar.com should get some info there.

I've checked out the pics from the guy on here doing the pickup conversion. I wonder if he's on diyelectriccar...

IMO that motor would not be enough...I would go with a brushed motor
