I don't think so cause he is gone for the rest of the week after this.. I don't think he expected me to have my audit work papers done so he delayed it as long as possible...

The duo is rated for 180w/channel, which is 360w total. Assuming a charger efficiency of around 85%, you'd need a 12v supply capable of 35A. At 14.4v, you'd need a 30A supply. Yikes, that's not gonna be cheap if you plan on ever using it to its full capacity...

lucias 08.06.2008 02:41 PM

I think that is why I haven't found what I was looking for..

I have an Astron RS-70M I'd be willing to sell. 57A continuous, 70A peak, linear supply

You can find some specs on it on this page:

Nah, it's just a linear supply, so it's got heavier internals than a switching supply because it's a bit less efficient. A lot of Ham radio guys use these kind of supplies because they don't have any switching noise.

The PS units at Tanicpacks look really nice. A bit pricey but nice.

Astron makes a nice PS. I use the 25A model for my bench. Tweaked to 14.8v, the charger doesn't need to draw quite as much current, so it runs perfectly.

I think it's time for me to take out those huge power transformers I have laying around and seeing what I can do to make a linear regulator...

A family member owns a motorola communication bussiness, I wonder if they would have anything that would work..
