I brought an RC10T a couple of days ago, its got a stealth tranny fitted, complete RPM chassis conversion kit inc chassis, bulkheads, wishbones, hubs etc and all sorts of other goodies. Going to put 8 cells and a Feigao 540 6s or a 380c 9t in there when my new controller turns up and see what happens. Been running brushless in my T2 for a couple of months with no problems, so this shouldn't have many problems either. Curious to see how an RPM chassis will put up with abuse compared to an alloy one.

My T3 and T4 hold up very well

RTSbasic what rpm chassis are you talking about?
|
RPM made a full chassis conversion kit for the RC10T/RC10 a few years ago, it consisted of a chassis with front and rear braces to eliminate flex, front/rear bulkhead, all hubs, steering arms, wishbones, arm mounts, battery strap, shock towers, front bumper, basically thing that was plastic was made of their near unbreakable nylon stuff.
Its discontuned now, although when I spoke with them a few days ago they confirmed most of the parts are still around, because they have a limited lifetime warranty against breakage. Couple of pics of mine (from the auction, it looks like it could do with a good rebuild): http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...ayphotohosting http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...ayphotohosting http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...ayphotohosting I've already constructed a lexan plate to relocate the servo similar to how I've done it in my T2, which will allow for 8-9 cells to be fitted on the chassis. Only minor modifications to the car are required. The other car in the photo is another T2 which I'm going to rebuild to check its all good and put back on ebay. Anyone in the UK here that wants one is welcome to make me an offer also :) |

What motor do you run in your T2, RTSbasic?
|
At the min, just a Feigao 540 6s. I have been experimenting with a Feigao 380 9t recently with good results as well. Both run on 8 cells in the T2. Building some 9 cell packs next week out of my older batteries so will see how well that works with the 380 9t. The 6s would probably overrev on 9 cells.
