i got the same program courtesy of school :)
i find it really difficult to make something im visualising. easy when im working off something solid so i can understand. my deam is to redraw my entire car and make an animation of it being built, screws and all, twisting etc. i recon that would be freaky and sick at the same time :) |

Hi,

Basically, it involves moving the center diff forward, tuck the batteries in saddle pack configuration closer to the center & motor at the center above the batteries. A top deck is put in to compensate for the torque rods that will not be there. At the time, I was dreaming of running 8S 4000mah using a BK3095. Unfortunately, still dreaming... Regards, Joe Ling |

mike you better be watching in case you need a designer, "will work for lipos" :D
let me know what you think guys |
Keep in mind cutter radii. If you look at your part, the "eye drops" I'll call them (the two lightening holes on either side of the larger hole at the bottom of the part) will be very tough to machine. Otherwise it looks buildable
|
we have a mini cnc router that used a 2mm bit- all the radii are 1.5 or more, should be fine

what guys no commentary?:na: |
You forgot holes and a top plate... But...
|
i dont have a hyper st so i wouldnt know hole spacing
|
Wing it  You dont need exact dimensions just for a rough design- think of it as sketching some ideas on piece of paper, only its on a computer instead. Exact dimesions can be corrected later on when you know them better. Looks kinda similar to the center diff unit mike made for the flm chassis:

very nice

Decided to take a shot at the CAD program myself. Got a few tips from ben and from a few vids. Here is a rough draft of my brushless motor I made...
