I raced the 8-t today, the motor was awesome on the 5s like said.
temps never broke 130 on the motor, and for the moment the mmm is holding up.I have put a cc bec on the truck to try and take the load of the servo's off the mmm bec.
after the 15 minute main with a couple warmup laps, around 18-20 minutes total the 5000 5s pack took 4500mah,probably didn't have but another min or so in the pack.
so is 20 minutes about right for runtime or should it be a little more?
And the nitro guys really hate my electric's:lol:
here are pics of final results after the 15min mains
Thanks again for all the help and info,
Kevin

That sounds about right for a race...

:smile:I bought a 1Y for my 8T and so far only one 4s 5000mah lipo as I was unsure if this was the best battery to go for. Reading this thread should I go for 5s instead with the 1Y?

thanks for the compliment, the guy that qualified second was not happy with me and my flashlight powered truck:lol:
We have a florida state offroad series here in florida that is very large in attendance approx. 150-175 entries per race for the nitro race.I have been told by the series committee that i will be able to run with the nitro guys until there are more converted vehicles to have our own class:party:
But the 2nd place qualifier said that my setup was great for club racing, but not for the bigger races because it is not "allowed",then I preceded to tell him that I can run it in the series next year:gasp:
he was not happy,This is just the beginning of the fan hitting.
I don't see what the big deal is,my cars are the class I am racing in just not nitro powered.I am truely not any faster than when I was running nitro,I just prefer the elec's over the nitro.
I did have a hotbodies sponsored driver in the buggy class ask me alot about converting one of his buggy's:yipi:

You should tell him to put his money where you know what is and give you a straight drag race and then we would see who was the fastest!!!

BESIDES, ENVY IS AN UGLY EMOTION!
