can someone confirm that it is bad and not a bad solder joint on the motor?

i used my ccbec to check if it was the internal bec that was bad and my rx comes on but the mmm wont come on , but when it is linked to castle link the lights come on

does this mean it should be sent in?

I guess I can confirm that, my MMM died on me this thursday, had run two full packs through it and 3-4 minutes into the third it died just like yours did. Won´t power the rx and won´t arm but still works with the castle link.
I sent it in yesterday and I think you should do the same

entjoles 08.25.2008 06:26 PM

sent it out today , did you send in your wires with it? i didnt , but i put a note in the box that i wouldnt need new ones

looks like 4 wks on the castle site for repair....................

slimthelineman 08.25.2008 08:23 PM

hey guys patrick wrote me today and said i should flash it and that would probably fix it. tried it with the version 3.05 cc link and no updates and the neww 3.11 from the site wont recognize the controller. hmmmmm will keep trying and keep you guys posted

entjoles 08.25.2008 08:27 PM

i had updated mine to the newest available on sat., what do you mean by flash it?

let us know if you have any luck , i shipped mine out to them today , although i didnt get to talk to anyone on the phone i left a message

slimthelineman 08.25.2008 08:46 PM

not sure i think he meant reloading the firmware but the newest ver on the web is 3.11 and it wont recognize the MMM (ver 1.19) said to use link to update it but i cant get it to work.will keep everyone in the loop as this progresses

slimthelineman 08.25.2008 08:56 PM

ok just got done "flashing" said MMM and gues what! nothing... oh well i tried sorry all

BrianG 08.25.2008 09:13 PM

Without reading the whole thread, has anyone tried using an external BEC or receiver pack AND backfeeding that voltage into the ESC (don't pull the red wire)? It flashes ok, so it sounds like the brains are still working with an external 6v power source. Maybe the BEC is out.

entjoles 08.25.2008 09:24 PM

BrianG.......

i didnt for fear of wrecking something, but i did try it with a ccbec and the red wire out, but that is a great idea, to bad i already sent it back today:whip:
