My v1 mmm I think toasted today..I changed from a 4s to 5s. I am running an external ccbec and it went up in smoke. I think the esc is finally toast too. Oh well, I will have to put my MGM back in.

I bought the MGM in case the MMM failed, glad I did!......

I guess I get to join the 4 MMM club.

I lost #4 today. Good thing I have another one still new in the box.

I'll put it in later this week. This is going to be the one I just know it. :mdr:

lol Macr0w, sounds like Willy Wonka opening his last chocolate bar looking for the golden ticket

For every person who owns two MMM V2's or more, more often than not both fail. I don't know if it has to do with the setup or not. Anybody have any problems with an MMM in a buggy? I've only heard of problems in truggies and monster trucks so far.

 and you know everyone with an MMM to make such a claim? You do realise that the vast majority of people with MMMs dont come and register on this forum and tell everyone they work? The only ones you ever hear about are ones that fail - thats the nature of forums, especially here, in the 'support forums'. The whole point of them is for people who have problems.

jayjay283 09.01.2008 09:24 PM

Also did you notice that about 4 people registered just to post theirs failed here

mdkenley 09.01.2008 09:29 PM

can the quark 125 monster run 6s?why dont more people run them?

+1  MGM reply on average 1 in every 3 emails you send them. :grrrrrr: Then blame you for a fault anyway.

Quarks only offices are in korea now.So cs can be a hassle.I use a Quark 80b modded for heat and extra caps and it does alright with a Medusa 2000,but I can overheat it in about 10 minutes if I'm not careful.

e-mike 09.01.2008 09:45 PM

we want a 6 cell controller that's it...not a thing that we have to ship each week:yes:

BrianG 09.01.2008 09:47 PM

And even when Quark had a US office, they only work reliably up to 5s. 6s is iffy, some people can get them to work, some can't, and some will work if some of the voltage is bled a little below the 4.2v of a fresh cell.

brushlessboy16 09.01.2008 10:02 PM

i havent lost faith in castle, but im waiting for the recall notice... even though mine is dead

Semi Pro 09.01.2008 10:08 PM

it would be nice if castle would keep us up to date and maybe even be honest with us as to why there are so many failures
