i would personally go with the flm bulkless system with 1/8th scale gears.

Bulkless is the way to go in my opinion. We all have our favorite manufacturers, and budgets. I stand by UE. Funny integy looks alot like them.:p

UE bulkless is nice. FLM is nice too. I personally don't like the looks of the VBS. (with integrated towers) just a matter of taste. weight difference between the FLM's and the UE's was about 10 gramm and the UE's used aluminum bumpers and my FLM's used long and heavy titanium skids with knucklehead shocktowers. Not bad imo.

With 16 cells and the 40mph you have got in mind, you could take the 7XL on a 9920. What will be as powerfull as a plettenberg bigmaxximum.
