I'd bet radio interferene. As you go up in voltage there is more electricity so more electrical noise. To diagnose it, move your reciever as far away from everything as possible, andtry again. I just had to learn this the hard way.

I put the set-up into my slash and it works perfectly. Will use MMM in this e-maxx instead.

I put the MMM in the maxx and it runs perfect with the small 1200kv motor and it runs perfect with my largest motor too. I'm concluding that the motor was pulling voltage down and causing thr rx to run on low voltage?
