Where did you read that ? Guys you should stop using those infamous translator :/
My guess it's about ball bearing that might be degreased then oiled for high speed purpose, or maybe that are just high speed BB |
I think free wheeling has something to do with the inertia of a big rotor making it hard to stop or change rotation quickly. A Helli's runs one speed one direction with changing loads.

Ah gotcha, no bueno then
|
My bad, I didn't saw the post with the link.
Like Bruce said, it's probably related with the high inertia of the motor. |

by low rpm does that mean 4s max and what the hell is free wheeling? you can adjust that on your controller.
|
Some low kv motors have significant influence from the magnets and "thump" as you turn them, I assume this one doesn't?
|
Normally I read opinons and take them with a grain of salt, but in the link I posted earlier, Jamie from StarluckRC made the "free wheeling" comment. StarluckRC carried feigao, plettenberg and I believe lehner motors at one point so I think he has an idea of what he's talking about.

6 pole motors with 6 turn should be a lot slower than 2000 KV, Btw it' a 700 size motor (check kershaw design 700 HO motor to under stand) not a 580 motor.
|
 MetalMan, you may be right! I hope it's a case of mistaken identity, however on Feigao's website http://www.feigao.com/sdp/85838/4/pl-102732.html, they don't list the motor pictured at the beginning of this post..
More research to do.. |
M'kay.. more good reading: http://www.rumrunnerracing.com/fefor...ad.php?t=26262
These guys seem to suggest the same conclusion, but then again it is probably based on the motor I may have mistakenly thought was listed as the topic to begin with. If this is the case, these guys haven't heard of the motor either. Their opinion of Feigao as a whole doesn't seem to be all that good.. |
This motor (Feigao 580) has definitly nothing to do with the first motor on the picture (CBRracing Feigao 700). I think this motor was made on demand to cbrracing specification that may explain the price and the fact that you can't find it on Feigao website.
It's a little like CC and Tekin motor, they are definitly not common OEM since nobody have been able to really found the source or the name of the manufacturer of there motors |
