No, just a real quick "POP" followed by a nose dive.

MetalMan 11.09.2005 07:30 PM

Would you be able to try a different radio system just to eliminate that as being a possibility?

giftacrylic 11.09.2005 07:32 PM

Do not have one as of yet.

squeeforever 11.09.2005 07:51 PM

you might want to check the radion in another car or check the antenna on the rx

I agree, it sounds like a radio related issue. The controller will act this way if it temporarily loses signal. Do you notice it more towards the end of the run?

giftacrylic 11.09.2005 10:02 PM

It does seem to happen more toward the end, but it will also happen some throughout the run.

If it is a radio issue though it seems a little strange that it doesn't happen on throttle aswell.Does it happen more at further range particularly towards the end of a run?

giftacrylic 11.27.2005 06:02 PM

Installed new DX3 radio, same problem.

Solution: Center chassis aluminum skid plate was rubbing my Gorilla Maxx aluminum single speed tranny. Replaced it with a plastic chassis brace, no more problems

Serum 11.27.2005 06:26 PM

okay, it was a mechanical problem then..

giftacrylic 11.27.2005 07:27 PM

No, I think (correct me if I am wrong) that the 2 pcs. of al. rubbing caused some type of interference.

Serum 11.28.2005 02:33 AM

which was a bit hard to filter from your words.... ;)

Gustav 11.29.2005 01:46 AM

I thought metal on metal interference wasn't possible on 2.4 Ghz(the dx3)?

danhfvcsd 11.29.2005 02:39 AM

hmm - sorry to bump it - but would this problem be able to be solved withOUT getting rid of the alum part? Like - could the two parts be coated in something possibly where the contact is being made?

Just curious to know what other solutions could be possible in case it ever happens to me at some stage through - whatevers -lol-

coolhandcountry 11.29.2005 11:30 AM

could you place something between them. Maybe file down one of the parts a little bit so it don't touch. Or maybe a combo of the group.
