Your buggy is looking great! Thats good to hear that the Kyosho motor mount fits well. The D8 shouldn't be too hard to convert after all. You took a picture from the side of the receiver box and motor mount, but its a little hard to tell if the pinion will fit. Is there enough room for it or is it a little too close for comfort?

Looks like we did similar things to the receiver box . Jnev the box has to be cut to allow for the pinion and adjustment for the gear mesh , you can see pics of this in my D8 Corr truck thread . FG101C what pinion are you going to run with that set up , i'm going with a 17t with my 5s 1600kv motor set up . |
move your battery tray all the way to the front, not the rear, it will handle MUCH better over the rear mounted battery.
Looking good! if i could get a 2nd buggy and itd be a D8, they are supposed to be incredibly easy to drive and very forgiving. |

The fit between the pinion and box is tight, I will figure all the little details out once I have everything. |
if going for 20 minute mains, maybe go with the 1512 2.5D 2050kv motor.

Took the pictures after I drove this, runs good on the track. Using a Medusa 36-60 2000kv, Hyperion 4350mah 5s pack. Still working on getting the gearing just right. The buggy is awesome, turns, jumps better than any of the other buggies I have driven.

Three more pics.
