Not yet, got a few more little bits to get frist.........
My second order from mike arrived yesterday along with the superduty steering blocks, then i found out they wouldnt fit. Guess ill just have to get them machined |
What setup do you have in mind, because of the 8mm's? the shaft itself is the exact same diameter, it's only the output axle that's thicker. i have never seen pics of one snapped to be honest.. And if they snap, you can replace them.

8XL / 18 cells , In a heavy truck though ..............
Not really needed imo. you could stick with the 6'ers
do the 6's take a differnt size bearing ? 16X5X6mm i presume?
You can use the bearing that come with the integy knuckles. (15X5X6)
i Didnt think of that, but rnt the inside of the integy bearings 5mm?
No, the size of the traxxas/MIP shafts is 6mm
so the 6mm cvd's should hold up ok ? what about if i wanted more power upgraded from the 8XL ?
What diffs are you using? you better put your money in 1/8th diffs if you didn't allready did so. That 8XL on 18 cells is quite a hand full and not too easy on the drivetrain.. You have got the metal idlers allready?
The 8xl on 18 cells is pretty insane allready. i doubt if you really want more :p Is this your first BL setup bytheway? |
6mm cvds will be perfectly fine IMHO. No need for the 8mm cvds. You will likely fin other issues to deal with under this kind of power long before the cvds give any trouble. Strong diffs and tranny mods will be needed fopr this kind of power, as Serum already mentioned.
