Not sure what you mean by what kind of gears.

I run the RCM pinion gears, and all the other gears (spur, diffs) are all stock.

Thank you for you response Steve. By gears I meant the spur gear. Are you running a Kyosho plastic one?

Also any idea what battery tray best fits the MBX6?

The spur gear is the stock 46T lightened spur that came with the kit. It sounds pretty crunchy, but it works great and I have had no problems at all. I'm thinking about doing the Kyosho plastic one but I don't think i'll ever get around to it, because it works fine as it is right now.

As for battery trays it depends on what size pack you are running.

I actually run Zippy lipos, which are larger than standard size lipos. Mike, the owner of the site, has made me a battery box that will fit this size. i'm sure he still has the size on file if you end up running zippy lipos.

The other way to go is to run standard size lipos, which will also work, once again, Mike sells these battery boxes here in the store.

To mount the battery box all I did was line up 3 of the stock holes in the chassis to the battery box, drill a few holes, threaded some screws in, and the job is done.:intello:

Also, I want to say something that is worth noting if using the RCM mugen mount for this buggy.

I recently noticed that I needed to shim the center diff using the 2 included diff shims in order there to be no slop. Some how the center diff is leaking a little bit threw the outdrive cups, enough that I can see a residue building up on the bearings.

Steve,

What size are the zippy packs? How does the size compare to the standard sizes Mike stocks here?

160 x 51 x 32mm
