Sure did. 8s motor(same as you will run). I ran 8 cells with it, too. I did upgrade to an alloy idler gear in the tranny, but otherwise never had any troubles with it handling the power. It was damn fast, too!

Guys, you're mean! Ever since I got interested in RC, I wanted some kind of AE rc10. Just never got around to look for one. Still can't make my mind up if I want a buggy or a truck.
One day, I'll get one.

Rene, and 10th scale indoor track would be cool, eh?

Serum 11.20.2005 01:00 PM

Yeah! need to get a bigger house then!!

Mike, where can i get such an idler?

Have you got pics of your RC10 ?

Daniel; i would personally get a truck, it has got a bit bigger wheels, so you can drive thru grass etc.

I have yet to change any of the plastic parts on my T2 since I bought it for $30 as a roller, just some Lunsford turnbuckles and balls studs, some RPM ball cups, and that's about it. The sucker's built like a tank, especially because of the alum. tub chassis.

So far in 3 years i've broken only 2 front bulkheads and stripped out a rear suspension mount (replaced with rpm's now)

I can get the alloy idler, Rene. I may even have one kicking around here somewhere, actually. I didn't get any pictures of it, unfortunately. I do have the roiginal tub chassis rc10T also. I could take a picture of that, but it hasn't been run in years. Perhaps I should ready it for some serious bashing!

Mike, that idler.. It sounds interesting.. what alloy is it? i saw that idler on the exploded fiew, looked it up, and i foresaw some proplems with that one..

I think mine is going to toss around 8 cells as well.

RC-Monster Mike 11.23.2005 01:48 AM

not sure the exact material, but I never took my tranny apart after I installed it(never had the need to). :)

dabid 11.23.2005 03:19 AM

Same here, my T2's stock (or whatever's inside the tranny, I haven't had to take it apart) takes the power fine, and I have yet to break anything more than a ball stud. I've since gone through and put on Lunsford Ti turnbuckles and rear ball studs (also Ti) and RPM ball cups, the thing's indestructable!

Serum 11.24.2005 03:08 PM

LOL.. it's that punk that has got about half of his RC collection stalled at my place...

dabid 11.24.2005 03:11 PM

Hey, let us know how the T2 turns out, mine was in sad shape when I got it......but I'd still say it was more than worth the $30 for the roller. :D

It's since been really cleaned up, as well as had the Lunsford treatment all around (including Ti ball studs on the rear because I killed a steel one and had to get a new bulkhead): http://photobucket.com/albums/v39/dabid_van/T2/

BTW, the lexan spur that came with it was nuked on the first run, Lehner 5300 sheared ALL the teeth off!
