I wonder if the receiver will be usable with a Spektrum tx?

JaySki 10.16.2008 12:40 PM

i think the price will be likely north of $600.
Figure the e-revo goes for around 425ish now...
CC 2200 Combos are MSRP of $350...
Add in the 2.4gHz Radio upgrade.. I'd guess it'll be 650-700.. IMO

portyansky 10.16.2008 12:49 PM

650-700 sounds resonable. And all I can say is that I knew it!!

I just hope that CC has all the bugs worked out on the MMM. One nice thing, you will have 2 great companys to deal with customer service wise.

BTallack 10.16.2008 02:03 PM

It figures that they'd do this the day after I installed a MMM/Neu motor in my E-Revo.

I was wondering what the heck you were talking about 'cause it intially looked like it was just sticky taped to the chassis. But now I see traxxas must have designed up that over the fan post system. I'll have to look into making myself one of those.

Have to ask Patrick if thats a Traxxas part or one of theirs.

Interesting designed out of the box for dual steering servo's - lots of points to mount fans now Brain.

I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot of those on flebay soon.

suicideneil 10.16.2008 05:25 PM

I wouldnt mind the esc mount myself- better than an ugly ziptie and velcro. $650-700 sounds about right too, though I wouldnt sell the Gmaxx to get one...

BlackedOutREVO 10.16.2008 05:32 PM

I dont think it will be 6-700 bucks

Probably more so around 500. They wouldnt sell any if its more IMO...

Ryu James 10.16.2008 05:34 PM

that revo is awesome. the Losi 8E is $879 so i bet that e-revo will be pushing that. its like new technology. when new stuff comes out it is really high priced and then as more and more companies release other forms of the new technology the price starts to go down. Losi and Traxxas will be able to ask high bids cuz they are the only ones offering 1/8 scale RTR brushless beasts out of the box. as more companies jump on board we will see more affordable stuff.

Duster_360 10.16.2008 05:44 PM

What timing! I was literally deciding on who to buy an E-Revo from and then see this! Guess I'll be waiting a bit.

Thats gotta be futaba 2.4 system too - I hope this gave them the chance to get the rx chip redesigned so it won't overheat. Way cool!!

Umm, the Erevo on its own cost about $400 depending on where you look, and the MMM combo is going to be about $300, so....:rules:

True, but that $400 also includes the cost of the Traxxas esc and motor.

my first wild guess bout the buying probability of this car is....mmmm  approximately 100%!

rhylsadar

im so getting that!

i could see the brushless revo being over $600. traxxas didnt have any problems selling out on platinum revos so im sure it the brushless revos cost 700 they would still sell easly
