Don't tell my wife.

ryanvm777 11.20.2005 06:34 PM

same here. I call it the rc-monster secret.

nbcaznmaster 11.20.2005 07:19 PM

same here man! good luck with the new setup!

mmdooley 11.20.2005 11:23 PM

I hate to hear about your loss. I am on my first bl build and that makes it kinda scary.

coolhandcountry 11.20.2005 11:36 PM

I sure am glad the wife don't know what i spend in the rc. :D I could always do worse things with my money. I could smoke drink or something. At least with rc I can sell it after I am done. :D
That bearing don't look good. I like a 9xl better than my 7xl. I have both motors. The 9xl has about same power as 7xl with a little slower speed but twice the run time. I need to get a 8xl and try that out to see what I get.

JOHNNYMAXXIMA 11.21.2005 12:53 AM

nbcazn, your married?

Ryan. Yes the rc-monster secret. Mike could sure blackmail quite a few of us. :L:

ryanvm777 11.21.2005 01:49 AM

He would'nt do that .....he would risk a boycot. Besides he loves customers like me. Ones that cant drive but love speed so they crash and have to buy replacement parts, and ones that have crappy luck, that there whole bl system dies and have to by all new. LOL ....Oh yeh and he's a nice guy.

Hmmm........something for me to consider if/when I get my next motor.

Here are some pieces of advice to help you, mate: to keep your truck at top performance ALWAYS check every single thing in it befor running. To keep the motor and ESC at optimum condition I strongly recommend the usage of ceramic bearings on the motor. Finally and MOST importantly.......dont let HER know about the costs of this crazy hobby. Hope you best of luck, pal.

Jasper 11.21.2005 08:20 AM

captain harlock, can you open the 7XL motor and replace the stock bearings for ceramic ones? How do you fix that? Because I don't see any screws on the motor to open it.

sly118 11.21.2005 09:21 AM

i give the shaft a bit of a tap .. and the rear endbell should pop off .. then slide out rotor ,, be carefull of that rare earth magnet !!! , then replace bearings .. refit .. and make sure u use rc-monster heatsink motor clamp .. too easy .. ohh an tape over the rear bearing ,

Jasper 11.21.2005 11:27 AM

Thank you sly118.

What are the dimensions of the bearing?

Serum 11.21.2005 02:13 PM

LOL, that rc-monster secrest sounds familiar.. She is getting to know me too good though... when i sit next to her on the couch ans say a few nice words, i hear something like.. Okay... what did you bought... Nothing sweety.. I just love you...! For what...??? nothing, just plain, uncoloured love... Yeahyeah...

Ryan, i like your low selfesteem on your driving skills.. Is it really that bad??! you need to build a savage like i did, just to do some bashing/handling/fulspeedcorner tests... I made the bigest ugliest rollbar you can imagine.. but it worked!!

ryanvm777 11.21.2005 03:21 PM

no its not that bad, the problem I have is staying of the throttle. Thats when I run into trouble.
